On arrival, we checked in, we had booked and prepaid for a super king bed room. We were given a twin bed room. We returned to check in and switched rooms to get what we had paid for. The room was OK but getting tired. It was very noisy on Monday morning as the linen lorry arrived at 06.30, lots of trolleys banging around. The room was partially cleaned Monday morning, the cleaning cloths left behind in the bathroom. Mini fridge was emptied of chocolate and replaced with water? I talked to the receptionist, and she said as the bed had not been made, the cleaner would return and finish the job and restock the fridge. On return that evening, it was NOT the case. I returned to reception again to a different receptionist who dealt with the fridge chocolate. We had an additional £15 per night parking charge. Obviously Holiday Inn have sold their car parking to Parking Eye. It's 3 miles from the town centre, there is nothing in the area that warrants that high a fee. You will be better off staying in the town centre Bull Hotel. Good rooms, parking included. That's what we will do on our next visit to Peterborough.
