Sunrise Village Beach Hotel

Firstly I would like to point out the location of this hotel is stunning and views are amazing, although the hotel is very remote, so be prepared for this. When we first arrived, English were the minority, which is not an issue, but some other nationalities clearly do not abide by our queueing system and are happy to push in, even in front of young children. The animation team clearly favours ‘club jumbo’, who are French paying guests I believe. Food at the hotel does become repetitive, but we managed for a week, even with fussy eaters. If you enjoy alcohol, this is not the place for you! It is all served warm with ice in the glass watering it down straight away. No wine glass in sight, with wine served in tumblers. Expect the beer to run out, as they clearly do not order enough for the amount of guests. The bar on a night is a shambles, with the hotel not employing enough staff to manage the amount of guests, which could easily be rectified if they added self service pumps like most other all inclusives. Snack bar…joke! It is the worst snack bar I have ever seen. Just serves bizarre things and definitely not things that would make you stay by the pool and miss lunch. The hotel clearly cannot cope with the amount of guests, it was a catalogue of errors! I must add that staff work really hard, but they clearly are overstretched! Evening entertainment is non existent, unless you want to watch the holiday reps dance around to terrible music! My advice…if you’ve booked, then change this holiday! I would not go back to this place even if it was free. Jet2 and EasyJet really need to think twice about sending quests to this place!

Pros : Absolutely fabulous sea view, private beach for the club with little rocks, bring shoes to swim. Clear water. Huge swimming pool, nice for kids. To improve : Bad smell sometimes outside (évacuation of dirty waters), buffet at the restaurant with loud music (go to eat on the terrace to avoid it), surroundings with not much to do, so rent a car if you can.

Just returned from holiday at Sunshine Village supurb location and stunning views. Accomodation, food, staff, cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel was very comfortable and inviting.Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and families.

We visited this hotel with our family at the beginning of June. Since my husband and I were paying for the vacation for four other family members, we had to consider the price when choosing the hotel, so we didn’t have very high expectations. However, this went beyond anything we could have imagined — in the worst possible way. We were given four bungalows. As soon as we entered, we noticed that the room wasn’t cleaned at all. There was dirt on the floor, the bedding was dirty, and the whole room smelled bad. There was mold on the curtains, and the rooms were full of spiders and other insects. There was toothpaste in the sink, and the shower was completely filthy. I understand that the cleaning staff probably have a lot on their plate, as there are many rooms to clean. But if you want to offer services of this type, you need to have enough staff to do the job properly. The food was almost the same every day. The cold buffet didn’t change the entire week, and the hot food was the same for both lunch and dinner. Toward the end, there wasn’t even anything left to choose from. There’s a small shop near the reception where you can buy water and chips at best. If we hadn’t had a car, we wouldn’t have had anything to eat, because there’s absolutely nothing around the hotel. Right after arrival, we went to reception and asked to pay for better rooms. They became available on the third day. At least there was no mold there, and the rooms didn’t smell. The pool had a pleasant temperature but was dirty. All the sunbeds were already taken by 9 a.m. The sea is beautiful, but that’s not thanks to the hotel. I recommend water shoes — the rocks can be uncomfortable. The sunbeds on the beach were in terrible condition. There was supposed to be a beach bar, but of course, there wasn’t one. The only bar is near the pool. As part of the all-inclusive, you’re allowed one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic drink. This is not the fault of the staff, but of whoever manages this hotel. It could have a lot of potential if someone cared enough to offer their guests a quality experience. I honestly don’t understand how anyone would want to come back here. This was a nightmare.
