Pet friendly Hotels Xiangxi Prefecture

Owners are very kind, friendly and ready to help you. I added their wechat once booked. They will pick up us which the place under 3 choices. and he help us take the luggages to hotel, that is not far from oldtown entrance. The location is very good. Not loud and fuss. Very quite to rest and relax. The front view is so amazing. You can walk around 10-15 minutes to downtown. Owner provide e-map to you. You can left luggages once checked out and walk around old town. Then once you will go to railways, they will help you take the luggages to the old town entrance.

Traveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to? We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere. Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use. Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.

The room was absolutely amazing – one of the best we've experienced in China! It was very clean and spacious, with high-tech Japanese-style toilets that added a luxurious touch. The staff deserves a perfect 10/10! When we arrived, my wife wasn't feeling well, and they kindly allowed us early check-in. They even prepared a fresh juice for her to help her feel better. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner with a stunning view of the waterfall. To top it off, they arranged a ride for us to the train station. Outstanding service in every way – highly recommended!

The boss upgraded our room to a room with larger balcony due to 4 pax of us. Very good value for money stay at FengHuang town here, direct access to the attractions spots, iconic bridge and stepping stone. We have some difficulties to call taxi to return to the high speed rail station and the boss offers his help. The boss is really a nice guy, highly recommended!

This is a very cost-effective hotel with good service and hygiene. In particular, the guy at the front desk gave us directions on how to get to the store. He was afraid that we couldn't find it, so he came out to pick us up. He also gave us a detailed introduction on how to play. It's very convenient to go to the riverside, and it's worth staying.

Hotel is located by Nanhua bridge. It is easy to find, just 300 metre from main road. The lady is very helpful and staffs are helpful. Bed and pillows are comfy. Aircondition is quiet and good temperature. Hotel provided slipper, shoes, hairdryer, amenities. At night you can near the noise from restarants and early morning, you can hear a voice from tour group. Overall, worth to pay.

We contacted the hotel a few weeks prior to arrange for a pick up at the fenghuanggucheng train station. They picked us up from the train station for free. As soon as we arrive, the boss greeted us and the staff helped bring our luggage to our room. We were also shown different rooms when we arrived, and they upgraded us to their suite room free of charge. The staff are always nice , smiling and helpful. Great location, hotel located away from the major noise but right in the action. We have been travelling around the Philippines, South Korea and China and decided to stay in Fenghuang old town for two nights, and we are grateful that we got some much needed rest. There's a few cheap breakfast options around the hotel. Highly recommended hotel, we would stay here again the next time we come back to Fenghuang old town!

The hotel is located upstream of the ancient city, 1.5 kilometers away from the ancient city. It is quiet enough. The room is quite large, with a bathtub and a smart toilet, but the toilet door is too close to the cabinet and cannot be fully opened. The breakfast is also relatively simple. I don’t know if it is because of the off-season. The best thing is the service. The hotel has a special car to send to the ancient city gate. Mengyuan tuojiang is located centrally along the riverside. The navigation on google maps may not be very precise and you may need to contact the lady boss or seek help from the locals to ask around for directions to the beibian street. The inn has a good window view and you can hear great live mandopop playing at the opposite stretch until 11pm. The lady boss, fangfang, was hospitable and gave great service. I had forgotten to bring my travel adaptor and she was helpful in lending me hers during my stay. She also gave free complimentary ginger candy that the locals eat. Thank you for the pleasant stay! 😊

Pickup - it should be included but they did not. I had to ask and subsequently lady boss said will reimburse. Location - pretty convenient as it is the edge of touristy area and less noisy. It’s located at a car park where you can easily get to the hotel. Check in - was smooth. Room - ok, near but the bed is super hard. The toilet is a fake Japanese style toilet that doesn’t work. View from the room is not bad. Can see the bridges. Check out - we were asked to go out of the car park to get a taxi for RMB26 or if turn into the parking it’s RMB40. How can 1 turn 50m into the parking costs this much extra? It’s ridiculous and sounded like some collaboration between hotel and driver. If they can drop at the doorstep in the parking I don’t get why the extra charge when leaving the place. So silly. This hotel is much more expensive than other properties and decently located but given a choice I may not want to stay here due to all the grey area points I listed above. If you’re charging much more than others, your service must be much better than them too. Not to say bad, just not good enough.
