The one night stay here was as I'd hoped. The pick up at the station incuded staff guiding through the scenic area to the hotel. On arrival, I was told breakfast was an upgrade. The room was comfortable and overlooking a small waterfall by a bridge. I was worried as I returned around 10pm with loud music very near the hotel, but the room must have good insulation as I couldn't hear it in the room. A driver to return to the station was arranged next morning for 20 yuan.

My say was great, Mr Fu arranged a pickup and drop off service from the High Speed Railway station. They offered hot milk and a snack at night, they also offered Tea in the afternoon, they have jacuzzis which was refreshing after a walk at the water fall. The hotel offered drop off and pick up service to the Furong Waterfall, even assisted with transportation to she supermarket. It was a great experience over all the hotel staff ability to go above and beyond to assist. It was quiet and peaceful

The location is just in the scenic area, view is incredible. The location is actually you are paying for, so expect the average on anything else.
The staff is ok, no english but the apps will do.
Breakfast is asian and quite basic.
Be warned that the cars taxis have no access inside the scenic area. The road from the drop point (scenic area gate) till hotel is rocky, paved with irregular stones, it’s a pita dragging the luggage, so come with a light one :))
At midnight everything shuts down, including the lights, so make sure you’re doing your night shots by then.

Hassle free experience checking into this bed and breakfast accommodation. The staff will contact you a day before to offer discounted entrance tickets (90 yuan) and transportation by a private driver (20 yuan). We opted for both of these services and it was the best decision we’ve made. The driver will drop you off at the closest entrance to the town, where the staff will meet you in a tricycle to transport your suitcases to the accommodation. The pathway is dirt so it would have been a nightmare pulling our suitcases through this. The rooms are large but average. We can see half of the waterfall from our balcony. For breakfast it is simple soup noodle. They ran out of rice sticky dumplings by the time we got there and the staff did not refill it. The only standout was the outdoor dining area, you’ll get a full view of the town which was amazing without having to be surrounded by a large crowd. I did notice that some tourists managed to walk in and take some photos when the front desk was not staffed… which felt unfair as this was the most expensive accommodation we’ve paid whilst in china.

Lovely new hotel that opened in 2023. Managed by Lily and her husband. Lily was super helpful with how to navigate the place, what to see, where to eat. However, if you don’t speak Chinese, it may be a little difficult. But nothing a translator app can’t help you with. Also, they provided a free transfer to the railway station when we departed. On arrival at the railway station, we just took a cab to the ancient town for CNY20. The very helpful taxi driver kindly called the hotel for us and someone from the hotel came to pick us up at the entry gate to the ancient town where the taxi driver dropped us. The hotel is still new, clean and in a great location with a fantastic river view and view of the Tuwang Bridge. I would stay there again. And Lily is hospitable, patient and kind.

Owners were very nice - they helped pick us up from the train station and also arranged transport to the attractions outside of the old town. They were flexible and pleasant to accommodate to our requests, including helping us to get back to the train station after we checked out.
We had a good one night rest there :) Their location is pretty much at the entrance of the old town which means you don’t need to wheel your luggage on the cobbled path for too long. They had a nice common covered balcony/terrace area on the second floor where we enjoyed relaxing at outside our room and also watch the people go by on the streets.
The bbq/grill station at the outdoor entrance to the inn at night was also a great way to chill with friends over good food. 👍🏻

Great service and value for money. Hosts always trying to help out and make your stay as comfortable as possible. The advanced ticket purchase to enter the old town and the complementary pickup service the offer is super convenient. We were upgraded to a family room which was great. This one need to walk down the stone pedestrian road, no lifts but staff try to make out to this by helping us with our luggage, they provide free pick up from the HSR station, once we enter the room the view is mesmerizing really glad we chose this hotel, breakfast was soup noodle which the broth is delicious and seated right beside the window breeze with nice view from the streams

The location is good, very close to Ximen Tuwang Bridge, the river view starry sky room is worth recommending, you can see a beautiful night view at night. The store is very good, the scenic spot ticket was bought at the wrong time, and actively helped to coordinate.

SSS-SingaporeThis has goto be the best room I had in my 16 days trip. Reached the Furong Station earlier than expected. Message the boss of the homestay and he reached the station with his cool jeep in 10 mins. Super good service! Reached the homestay in about 15mins, had a good chat with the friendly boss who grown up there. As the homestay is located in the scenic area, you will need to pay the entry ticket (108rmb) at the gate. The ticket is valid for 3 days. Do remember to bring along the ticket when you are out walking or decided to leave the scenic area. The Guard at the gate will scan your ticket when you re-enter to the scenic area. It's a very nice chill ancient town. The room I stayed was 502. It's super super nice, big, clean and even have a roof window and attached balcony. Can tell the couple put in alot of effort to maintain the homestay. I totally enjoy my night there. The boss was very kind to send me to the Rail station as well. They usually only provide one way service during peak season. Will highly recommend anyone who is going to Furong to stay here.

JJeremiahExcellent location within the FURONG old town and next to open air theater. You get box office seats from your room or at their balcony to watch the daily after and night shows. Rooms are clean and you have a choice of disposable towels or normal ones. Do travel light as there are no lifts for your large and heavy luggages. They also provide a one time FREE High Speed rail station transfer (either Dep or Arr) and additional arrangement is at RMB 20. You can arrange for didi but have to walk out of the town enclose area.
Heard from manager Ms Wang, that they just renovated the place in 2024 so the rooms are relatively nice has a large projector screen. Next to the hotel is a massage shop and a small convenient store. If you want your coffee or ice tea fix - Luckin is just a few nearby - outside the enclosed tourist fee area. Business are relatively cheaper outside the enclosed area bec of the tourist fee rmb 90( if you purchase from them one day in advance). Pls wechat them for arrangements via trip.com customer service chat function.
Overall, an awesome overnight experience for that less than usd80 price point.

GGuest UserThe Furong Old Town Courtyard Inn is by far the most beautiful place we’ve stayed in in China!
We were amazed by the gorgeous wood works of the interior of this mansion. The house is an original Tujia Family home with an atrium and a cozy roof top terrace.
The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Furong Scenic Area entrance and close to many restaurants, reachable easiest via taxi from the Highspeed train station.
We were warmly welcomed by our host and shown to the most beautiful room. Our stay was amazing, we instantly decided to stay another night (and lucky that it was possible), and we highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel! Very convenient stay as the host speaks English!

The location of the hotel is also great. It's on the side of the road and very close to the scenic spot. It's very convenient. You don't need to carry your luggage and walk far to the hotel.

GGuest UserThe boss was very enthusiastic and introduced the nearest parking lot to the inn in advance. He picked us up at the parking lot even when it was raining heavily. The room and toilet are a bit small, but the balcony is spacious. However, it feels that the decoration has been a long time, and the furniture is old. There is a small step in the river outside the room facing the river. The sound of running water is very loud during the day and night. Even though the soundproof glass door is installed, there is still a lot of running water noise when sleeping at night. People with poor sleep should consider it carefully. The advantage is that the location is inside the scenic area and it is very close to the waterfall.

AArnold VincentWe opted to stay overnight during our visit to Furong Ancient Town, and it really added to the whole experience. The location of our accommodation was excellent—just a short and scenic walk to the waterfalls, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. It was also very close to the performance area, so we didn’t have to go far to catch the cultural shows and activities.
From our room, we had a beautiful view of the ancient houses lining the river. The traditional architecture, especially when lit up at night, gave us a deeper appreciation for the charm and history of the town. Even though we were near the main attractions, the area still felt calm and relaxing.
Staying overnight allowed us to experience a quieter, more atmospheric side of Furong. After the day-trippers left, the streets took on a slower, more peaceful rhythm, and we enjoyed wandering through the lantern-lit alleys and hearing the sound of the river nearby.
It was a lovely part of our trip and gave us a more intimate glimpse into the timeless beauty of the town.

I didn’t have any good expectations before going there, but after I went there, I found that the hotel was very clean and the owner was very enthusiastic. The pick-up station also introduced us to delicious food. Fun, thank you very much! Its location is right next to the Tuojiang Central Scenic Area, which is very convenient for eating and playing. Highly recommended!
