My husband and I spent Christmas week here. The hotel and staff were wonderful as was the village. Our seven course meal on Christmas Eve was one of the best I've ever eaten. As were all of the meals and so much to chose from. The cheeses were better than we had at our Swiss hotel on our journey to Pertisau! The events organised from the 23rd to 25th were great fun, Singing Shepherds, candle lighting and lunch time gathering on Christmas Day. The swimming pool was fabulous. And we always waited to see how our duvets were arranged each day, a variation on animal towels. Amenities in the village were excellent (ski lift, x country ski-ing, hotel toboggans, a small museum, cafes, boat trip) and included a bus pass to visit villages in the area. We felt like part of the family throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again in summer.

Perfect stay from start to finish. Very friendly helpful staff full of information who couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were spotlessly clean, a good size and fantastic views. The food was awesome accompanied by a great choice of wines. The spa and pool was never too busy and a great place to relax after a days walking. We stayed for nine days and found enough snowy walks, cable car rides and boat trips to keep us going. The new years eve gala meal and entertainment was spot on followed by the most awesome firework display by all the hotels in the valley. We don't usually do reviews but felt the Hotel Wiesenhof definitely deserved one. Hope to see you guys again soon, maybe in the summer next time. Thanks for a great stay.

Sehr schönes, familiengeführtes Hotel in toller Lage am Achensee. Toll ist das grosse Schwimmbad und richtig top ist das Essen (HP). Wir wurden die ganze Woche richtig verwöhnt und durch die persönliche Betreuung rundum bestens versorgt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Grüsse an die ganze Familie Entner.

Wir waren über Weihnachten zusammen mit unseren beiden Kindern und deren Partnern und haben den Aufenthalt rundherum genossen. Alles ist eigentlich perfekt. Auf Schritt und Tritt merkt man, dass das Hotel familiengeführt ist und somit die Leidenschaft als Gastgeber von einer an die nächste Generation praktisch übergeben wird. Alles ist blitzblank sauber, die Zimmer stehen in einem wirklich guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, die Küche bewegt sich auf Spitzenniveau. Das gesamte Personal ist außergewöhnlich engagiert. Besonders zu erwähnen ist auch der Spa-Bereich und natürlich das außergewöhnliche Badehaus! Selten so etwas gesehen. Eine besondere Erwähnung verdient auch noch Der Kinderspielbereich: die äußerst hochwertige und geschmackvolle Ausstattung sucht seines gleichen. Alles in allem viele, viele Sterne für dieses tolle Hotel! Auf bald wieder.

Die Rezeption ist perfekt besetzt, wir wurden herzlich empfangen und zum bleiben überredet. Es hat sich 100% gelohnt, die Zimmer perfekt, das Abendessen ein 5 Gänge Haubenmenü, ein wundervoller SpA Bereich, Herz, was willst Du mehr! Im Keller befindet sich ein toller Bereich für Kinder.

Wir waren nun schon mehrfach im Hotel und fühlen uns schon fast wie zu Hause. Die Zimmer, der Service, das Personal und auch die Bewirtung alles ist wirklich gut. Auch, dass trotz der Größe immer noch familiäre Gefühl ist sehr angenehm. Lage top, ruhig aber dennoch zentral und mit ausreichend Abstand zum täglichen Trubel an der Seepromenade. Insgesamt ist der Wiesenhof noch empfehlenswert und mit dem schönen Spa-Bereich eine Wohlfühloase. Einzig die Preise haben nun ein Limit erreicht und dürfen nicht weiter erhöht werden. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut im Grenzbereich. Insbesondere weil die Energiekosten (Strom, Gas, Benzin, Diesel usw.) wieder drastisch gesunken sind und damit ein großer Kostenfaktor spürbar entlastet. Insgesamt muss die Region Achensee auf ihre Preisgestaltung aufpassen und nicht weiter überziehen.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel der Wiesenhof. The staff was marvelous, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. All spoke English fluently. Our junior suite was spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel is located near several hiking trails, and others can easily be reached with the excellent public bus system, which is free for hotel customers. There is a huge (25 meter) heated indoor pool as well as a fitness center to enjoy after a busy day of hiking. The evening meals consistently had four choices for mains--a fish, a vegetarian, and usually two meat options. There was always fresh salads, breads, and cheeses. Most mains were well prepared and had a beautiful presentation, although a few were just okay in terms of taste. Breakfasts included choices of eggs, omelets, or waffles with various toppings, as well as fresh fruit, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh vegetables. We have stayed in three hotels recently in upper Austria. All "king" size beds are actually two twins put together, with two separate twin sized comforters. We would love to stay there again should we return to the Tyrol.

This was our sixth visit and the hotel is as perfect as ever. The staff as really friendly and helpful without being obsequious. The food has always been good but on this visit it was the best we have ever had, particularly the meat dishes - great cookery, flavours and textures. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds and everything you need for storing walking kit. There are so many walks to do from the hotel, that over ten days we never did the same walk twice and we could vary what we did with the weather and our mood. The swimming pool is excellent - one of those rare hotel pools where you can really swim lengths of more than two strokes. This is perfection.
