We had the best stay at Castello di Vezio. The location is hard to beat in many sense (high up on the hills, quite a thrilling drive but with incredible vies). Valentina greeted us at the gate and gave us a tour of this huge property. Our apartment Siddy is just outside the gate and is within easy walk to the main house/pool. The grounds are so beautiful with plants and flowers, cute doggy Siddy and chickens. The historic castle is just a short walk away. We dined at their onsite restaurant and the food/drinks were excellent! The walk down to Varenna is quite steep (15-20min) but a good exercise!! In the summer it can be very hot, so we really appreciate that our unit comes with two AC units! The kitchen and washer are great as well and so convenient. The fridge is huge and they provided two big bottles of water and milk in it (very thankful for it, as it was very hot outside). The only surprise we have is that there is no bodysoap or shampoo for the shower. It also does not have any shelf or space to put your stuff, so you have to put everything on the shower floor. We only stayed two nights so we just used the hand soap to wash 😅 As guests of the hotel you get to visit the Castle for free. They have two pools as well, one by the main house and one on the lower terrace which has incredible lake views. We rented a boat recommended by the hotel and it was such a great idea. It was reasonably prices and it was so nice to go out and see the lake villas without having to stand in lines to wait for the ferries. 2-3hours is plenty to tour the lake on the private boat. Overall we had an incredible time!!

Castello was a fantastic property to stay at during our time at Lake Como. Grazia, Michaela and Manuela were exceptional hosts who did everything they could to help our stay be the best possible. The food was delicious and they were always there to help with the shuttle. Would definitely stay there again. The pool was also a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. The views cannot be beat!

This was the best stay of our trip! You start with a tour of the grounds, which are amazing. The views are breathtaking!! The rooms are also comfortable and clean. The staff was so accommodating and the restaurant on site is 100% worth a visit for dinner! Call Rita from the train station, she was so knowledgable about the area and had great recommendations for us :) I could rave about for hours, but highly highly recommend for your Lake Como stay!

Beautiful property and view. Wonderful staff. Joanna is so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurant has delicious food. House was great and well appointed. We hope to return one day! Would be a great place to visit with other families/friends.

Die Location ist zwar wunderschön, aber das Anwesen wird unmöglich geführt. Mit jedem bisschen wird versucht Geld zu machen und die Eigentümerin läuft andauernd Patrouille. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen und eher als Eindringling anstatt als Gast. Zimmer sind teilweise schimmelig und das Frühstück für über 20 Euro eher spärlich. Wir haben viel Geld gezahlt und absolut keinen Service bekommen.

Nous avons passé 2 jours dans ce lieu magique où la vue est époustouflante. Notre maison était un peu excentrée (maison des roses) mais ce n'était vraiment pas gênant. Par contre nous avons été déçu de l'extérieur de la maison : le jardin n'était pas accueillant, le mobilier extérieur non plus et il y a du grillage pour délimiter l'espace avec le voisinage, ce qui n'est pas agréable. Nous avons trouvé que ce n'était pas à la hauteur des prestations attendues. Nous n'avons pas été au restaurant car il était en travaux et non terminé. Nous n'avons pas été gênés par le bruit car notre maison était éloignée. Le personnel de Castello Di Vezio est adorable et très accueillant.

We spent a wonderful five days in Casa Selva. Beautiful views over the lake from our terrace and the gardens. The pool is set in a tranquil olive grove and is a restful place to recover after a busy day exploring lake Como. The castle Vezio is worth visiting also. Set in beautiful gardens with a nice cafe. Entrance is free for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and well furnished with everything we needed. We also had two delicious dinners on the terrace of the main house which you can arrange with the reception.

After driving up the curvy hill we arrived in Vezio and were greeted by Stefano. He was super friendly, Roberto Begnini style happy host. He showed us to our apartment and all the facilities on site. The apartment was clean and beautiful, the swimming pool with very nice temperature, the gardens are stunning, the castle a short walk away and free of charge and only around 15-20 minutes walk down to beautiful Varenna. We had a superb stay and would love to come back. They are in the process of building a restaurant which I'm sure will be super nice. Many thanks for your great hospitality. Stefano, you're the man!

Genoten van het prachtige uitzicht! Mooiste plek om te tennissen die er is. Onze kinderen hebben zich ook vermaakt met de trampoline, tafeltennis tafel, schommel en natuurlijk het zwembad. En wij genoten van de rust. Huisje van alle gemakken voorzien! Wij gaan er zeker naar terug.
