Hampton Inn Sandusky-Central

Absolutely loved this place. In the middle of every attraction I needed to get to. Staff friendly except 1 housekeeper lady.

I am completely upset with the Hampton Inn Sandusky. I had a horrible stay there last Thursday. Told the girl at the front desk about my stay and she said somebody would get back to me. And she said in the presence of my entire family thanks for letting us know. I wrote one bad review. The manager, Leslie called me back today and basically told me I wrote reviews on four different places total lie.!!! She basically called me a liar. I do not want any money back from this hotel. I would never stay there again. She told me I made her numbers look bad. She didn’t care what I had to say she was more worried about her scores negatively affecting her hotel. Sorry Right now and I would never stay there!! I have been a guest at the Hampton for a long time. Shame how one place and one person’s attitude changes your whole opinion. I’m definitely not a liar.!!!

Service was perfect and hotel was clean! From the time we checked in (Alexis) to the breakfast staff, everyone was friendly and professional. I am an honors member and I loved the sign at the front welcoming me as a Diamond member. I have been traveling for 25 years and never experienced that! We will be back!

This is an older property, but well-maintained and the service is excellent. Lisa and Alexis at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. This is one of those places where their people seem like family. The location is quiet (just the chirping birds!) and well-situated near dining and shopping. About 20 minutes from Cedar Point with traffic. Would definitely stay again when I am back this way!

Don’t be discouraged by negative reviews! Hotel is under new management (for a few months now) and it shows. Room was very clean, the bed comfortable, staff was great! Breakfast was typical Hampton fare, well stocked and tidy. Manager personally spoke with every guest in the breakfast area, following up with some, noting concern of another. Really what hospitality is all about. Stayed one night for solar eclipse.

The staff makes this hotel better... We were there for a volleyball tournament and they went above and beyond. They even wrote inspirational messages on the bananas and wrapped up the fruit so the girls to take it with them. The breakfast is good and the beds are decent.

Art and his team have a professional and excited team. Every issue I ever had has been a priority by his team. From front desk to housekeeping they have taken care of. Clean and active team greets me every time I see any of Art’s team. Bravo Zulu.

The staff was great BUT this hotel is truly awful. There are major humidity issues. Shoes are a must because the rug feels damp. Clothes felt damp when taken from open suitcase. The towel hung on the (only) bathroom hook was still wet in the morning. The bathroom door would not close because of the humidity. There was mold on the bathroom door and bathroom walls. We had to keep the AC on the lowest setting (66 degrees) to try to help with the humidity. It was freezing! This hotel needs to be renovated and is not even close to typical Hampton Inn standards. Extremely disappointed!

This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The AC was old, and not cold, the toilet had issues flushing and the hotel in general was just dirty and musty. It is in desperate need of a renovation.
