Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Check in was scheduled for 4pm, however the apartment was only available at 7pm. A situation that I saw repeated with other guests. The pool cleaning is poor, the pool chairs look very bad and need renovation. The hotel restaurant is terrible, the food is expensive and the quality is poor. The cleaning of the pool bathrooms is very poor.

Had a great time. Apartment was very big and modern and clean. Glad hired a car as it’s essential with no shops or restaurants (other than golf clubhouse) within miles. Had a mezzanine but these are all level 1 so next time I will go for a ground floor double option as I prefer ground floor. Site is very big and quite spread out and really quiet. Pools really good. We would come again.

Booked through Golf Breaks. Played the O’Connor course. Booked buggies in advance. The staff in the Pro shop were friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent condition. Challenging greens. Super views from the bar, looking over the course. Fabulous time had.

Fantastic few days at the resort. Amazing staff, great food, golf courses in amazing condition even though it's been busy. I have to say that the four of us will return, definitely! Bruno drove us back and forth from the accommodation, which was really clean and well appointed. Honestly one of the best holidays I've had.

Just returned from my first visit to Amendoiera golf resort and I was really impressed by the whole experience . 2 brilliant golf courses . fantastic accommodation and the staff we’re friendly and attentive . This resort I a gem and should be on every golfers wish list.

The golf course itself was good with some interesting holes and thanks to the recent rain it was in good condition. We didn’t stay but came for the day twice to play first O’ Connor and then Faldo which was the better of the two. Practice areas are terrible and a disgrace both in size and condition for a course charging E160O or so. Starting at 111.30 one had hoped that the food buggy might come round but it didn’t as it was the operators day off and one man did both courses and finally reached us at the 16th by which time he had run out of sandwiches. Apparently it was the day off of the other operator which means that for two days a week it is going to be unsatisfactory. Why not put one of the many people doing little business in the shop on a buggy to help out We arrived to witness one of the staff charging around in a buggy( our buggy was strictly regulated to go slow in certain areas. He had a head on crash with one of the guests and cut himself on the head. Not impressive Same people used to run Palmares which has benefitted hugely from new management. Someone needs to wave a magic and over this place and it could be great but not at the meoment

We were a group of four lads and visited here last week. We all came home wanting to go back which says it all. This is a world class golfing resort so everything is geared up around golfing. The club house is fantastic with excellent changing and storage facilities, a good bar with an amazing outside balcony, restaurant and two fantastic courses plus a range of other sports facilities such as paddle, tennis and football and rugby pitches. The two courses were in very good condition despite the high usage. Yes, there are parts of the courses that were a little worn but the greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Most of the tees were in good condition and if a little bare then we decided to tee up on a nice part. The greens were slick and true. The only niggle was that the bunkers on the Faldo course had way too much sand and were full of footprints (footprints are hardly the resorts fault) but the bunkers on o’conners were superb. The resort promises unlimited golf but this needs to be booked in advance at the time of booking the holiday. We found there was no slots on the day if you wanted to change tee times or courses. We cannot fault the service or food in the bar area. There is also a free shuttle bus to the villas/apartments but generally it’s a 10-15 walk. Our apartment was superb - way too big for us - with 3 twin rooms, 3 ensuites, lounge/dining area and big kitchen. The resort is 20 mins via an uber to the night life in albufeira and 35 mins to villamoura. We found ubers to be half the price of normal taxis.
