Okanagan Lakefront Resort

Wanting to show family from Europe the delights of Penticton we booked in at this resort. What makes it a "resort" is still a mystery, as it's a motel, plain and simple. It's newly renovated, very clean (unless sun shines in on dusty furniture) and comfortable. Our suite was well equipped, but we had to ask for additional cutlery, as we were 3 people as per our booking, but there were only 2 knives and forks. Bedroom was nice, bathroom the same, except for hairs of multiple lengths and colours not our own in the trap in drain of bathtub. Pressure in pipes was excellent. Fold out sofa in living room offered not quite adequate support for my generous bottom, but it was new and spotless. Air condition unit was very loud and rattling, and could not be on at night as it was right next to the sofa bed and too noisy. One of our reasons for picking this "resort" was that it boasted Netflix, which we don't normally have and wanted to watch a show. When calling to inquire how to actually make it work, we were told to use our own log in. What they provide is the Netflix app, no more. Very limited tv to watch, but plenty of streaming services that we could use (our own) log in to watch. Housekeeping is not provided if you stay for less than 7 nights to save water, but we did have enough towels. I would have loved a face cloth or 3, though. Rules sheet on table asked that we clean up after ourselves and do our dishes etc for the next guests. We did, but not what I'd expect from "a resort". The office was unmanned when we tried, but could call and speak to someone about any questions. We were sent a code to let ourselves into the suite. All very friendly self service.

Amazing place to stay, very accommodating for our stay! Newly updated and clean! We were there for a lacrosse tournament and they made the whole team feel welcome and went above and beyond! Defiantly will go back!

Nicely updated rooms. Staff let us park early in the morning even though check in wasn’t until 3. Great area right by the beach! Will definitely stay here again.
