Super friendly staff, very clean with little extras in the room to make it stand out.

The property needs a major reno, the rooms have somewhat recently got hit with a coat of paint and some furniture upgrades, but it needs a complete renovation, unfortunately due to its location they likely sell out frequently due to a lack of rooms in the Penticton beach area so the owners have no incentive to keep the property up to modern standards. The outdoor pool was shut down for the entire duration of our stay, nothing about this was mentioned on the website when I booked. The staff were perfectly fine, no complaints there. But the hotel itself and rooms are dated and simply not up to par for 2025, this falls on the owners not reinvesting their profits back in the the place. I definitely wouldn't stay here again. I stay at Whyndham hotels all over Canada, this is close to the bottom of the barrel. I've stayed at $75 a night hotels which are far superior to days Inn Penticton and these guys are charging $250+.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, that were paid for with Wyndham Rewards points and the third night I paid cash. When I looked at my statement today, I noticed two charges. 1 processed on the 5th of July 2025 for $330.04 and a second charge $246.84 processed on the 6th of July 2025. I called the hotel for clarification and they told me this was a "glitch". Their computer doesn't tell them I am using points ( even though I specifically spoke to them about this fact) so it charges the customer. The customer has to request that the funds be reversed. I have never heard of this before and I have stayed at many Wyndhams and used points. This charge was processed 10 days ago and if I had not noticed it, it would have remained and this hotel would have made money. If this is happening to more people, they've got quite the racket going on. I won't stay there again, I will let all my friends know not to stay there. The manager claimed he has reversed the charges. If within a few days that has not happened, I will launch a formal dispute with my credit card.

We booked our trip less than a week before we travelled and were not told the pool had been out of order since May until we arrived.

The brochure looks nice, however these folks cheap out at every turn. For $200 I got a room starting off with the classic hairs in the bathtub, the halls are humid and musty, with a few weird stains that could have easily had a chalk outline around them at some point. The AC draws in damp air from the river, lake and pool and pumps cold humidity into the room, only to push out the curtains from the window, and most of the cool goes up the curtain. Half-size ironing board that is pretty useless. Laminate floors that obviously don't get washed very often, as My white socks were filthy in 5 minutes. Don't park near the dumpster corral as the homeless might case Your car while diving the dumpster for empties. The pools were closed apparently by the local health board so even though the Hot Tub was open....with the grimy ring around the water line, and green hue....pass. I enjoy the classic free breakfast that a lot of the Low range/Econo hotels offer, however the empty dining room was a clue, coupled with the hash browns with cubes of weirdness whiter than the sheets in the room, rubbery egg pucks, an english muffin that chews like jerky, and steamed sausages also almost as pale as the aforementioned hash browns. Perhaps that's why the attendant hides behind the counter crouched down and scrolling her phone. Bottom line, not worth the money, for the same dough there are other options in Penticton with much better value.
