We stayed for 2 nights and it was a perfect escape from the stress and grey monotony of January in London. Incredibly delicious food and drinks and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and thoughtful. We arrived on Sunday evening not realising food service stops at 6pm but the amazing team put together some plates to save us having to go back out in the cold and dark which was very much appreciated. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated giving an overall feeling of quiet, comfortable luxury. Whether relaxing in the room or reading a book in front of the fire in the main bar; the whole experience and care from the staff were above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. If I could give a 100/10 rating I would. Thank you LA team for looking after us so well!

Great Steak Night ! 7 of us sat down for a great 3 course dinner. The menu was excellent and the food was delivered with great service. Delicious all round was the consensus of opinion. My Venison Pie was out of this world. Wine chosen paired with the food well. All parties enjoyed the evening immensely.

Outstanding last minute experience: Getaway just before Christmas to recalibrate! Atmosphere, food (beautifully prepared and passion on a plate), team (so accommodating), drinks (winter Aperol Spritz) and room quality (luxurious). Very hot room, overlooking the roof overpriced (i spent 2 weeks in a hotel in Malaysia with a view to die for for the price of 2 nights here) and when we arrived, even though the room was ready, they wanted to charge us an extra £10 to access the room "early" even though they had got it ready of their own volition. What a joke.

The loveliest staff, incredibly beautiful rooms and the beds are very comfy. The place is spotless and the food and drink is delicious. There's lots to do nearby we had long walks, saw Penshurst castle and gardens and enjoyed the gorgeous views

It was perfect- the huge suite was ideal as a getting ready room for our large bridal party- easily accommodated two hair stylists and the breakfast delivered to the room was superb. We were looked after so well and the staff were extremely attentive. The recent makeover has been done well and the rooms were comfortably luxurious. The post midnight moonlit procession back from Penshurst Place to the Leicester Arms was unforgettable- a lovely opportunity to chat about the day as we wandered back.

Our family group stayed here for a wedding, taking all the rooms for 2 nights & having dinner on 1 of them. It was superb: - the staff’s attitudes were terrific (at a time when good staff can be so hard to find) and nothing was too much trouble; - the rooms are beautifully & elegantly furnished (we were in Golding, which was large, comfortable and at the back of the building. An extractor fan operated 24/7 not far outside, so ask for a room elsewhere if that might bother you but it wasn’t a problem for us); - the bar and dining area are similarly decorated in a comfortable country Inn style; - the food was excellent, good ingredients, skilfully cooked and well presented; - the wine list, beers (including the outstanding Harvey’s Best) and gin selection was extensive; - the little village is lovely, as is the countryside around Penshurst. All in all, from cleaners to owners, everyone was friendly, polite and helpful and clearly cared about the Leicester Arms. A wonderful weekend.

First time we had been there since complete refurbishment and new owner. Beautifully done, decent car park, outside eating areas( far too cold and wet yesterday!). Not large menu (good!). Excellent variety, freshly cooked and lovely young waitress who could have been more pleasant and helpful.
