Good value, comfortable, good & convenient location, easy and free parking

Cycling trip, decent place to stay but had a very aggressive woman working there on the morning. One room slept in so were 20 mins late for check out, she seemed very aggressive and even swearing at the individuals , very strange behaviour. Would be reluctant to return due to this incident

Stayed in the apartment and can thoroughly recommend the place. Perfect for the 2 of us, with bike storage (and a handy set of tools that we thankfully didn't need) available and, although we had private facilities the main kitchen / dining area looked well equipped. To top it off, the service / friendly welcome and local information was brilliant.

Just spent 4 nights at the Wayfarers hostel in Penrith and I'm so glad I did. Very clean warm and welcoming establishment, very well run by helpful folks. The communal kitchen is a great idea as you can save money by buying your groceries at the Penrith Aldi (10 mins walk away?) and cook your own meals. It's also a nice opportunity to meet other "outdoors" guests who are staying there, over your morning (& complementary!) coffee for a little chinwag, sharing tips on good walks etc. It's also quite near the Penrith bus station where you can catch the X5 bus to Keswick (40 mins journey) for the beautiful Derwent water lake or as a good starting point for a trip to the rest of the Lakes. That bus journey alone is worth it for the stunning views! And the prices at Wayfarers are extremely good - definitely going back next year!!

We stayed here for one night as part of the C2C. Lockable bike storage with tools and equipment available, fully equipped roomy kitchen facilities, lounge with TV, comfortable twin room with en suite wet room, everything we needed and close to town centre, absolutely ideal, very clean accommodation.
