Hampton Inn Pendleton

If you are disabled, I would highly recommend you ask about the ADA rooms first. After driving 300 miles, my wife and I were assigned to RM 312. In this room, there is a towel rack next to the toilet. My wife, who has crippled legs, and brain injury from a drunk driver, got caught underneath this rack when she was trying to both sit/stand from the toilet. If I would not have been there to help her, and she would have been a guest who was by herself, she would have been in trouble not being able to safely move and get into her chair. We have stayed in somewhere between 50-75 hotel rooms across the country. Never have we seen a towel shelf, or bar, directly above the toilet impeding the ability to move safely. While it might be ADA certified, by presumably someone with all extremities, and has never had to functionally use the toilet in this room, for handicapped people it is highly dangerous. In fact my wife had a hard time not hitting her head on the rack. The response from the general manager... sorry there is nothing we can do about it. The head office says the room is ADA certified. In other words, no maintenance staff on-site to fix a problem which is a safety issue for a person who is disabled. And to make matters worse, the general manager after asking for pictures of the area in the bathroom, the next day, still hadn't sent the email to someone who could fix the problem. The rack is held in place by four Phillip's screws. Very easy to remove to not only keep my wife out of danger, but other people who stay in the room as well. We didn't want a discount, ask for a discount, or even have a discount and there were no other ADA rooms available. And of course after checking in, a guest is not allowed to cancel a reservation without a financial cost to themselves. We will not be staying here again.

My sister-in-law and I stopped in Pendleton, Oregon on our way from Oregon to New Mexico ... quick overnight stay on a long (Uhaul) two-day trip. Nice facilities ... welcoming staff at the desk ... and very comfortable room. The breakfast was very good the next morning, and the desk staff had small lunch bags ready for us when we checked out. Although we did not take advantage of the site's amenities or spend any time in Pendleton, the location was perfect for a quick stop ... and our experience was fine.

Thumbs up! This was part of a long road trip for my husband and I, one of eight hotels we stayed in. It was very nice, clean, convenient, so would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great Stay! We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and inviting. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nice hotel Nice little stop over. It had everything we needed. Thomas at the desk was very friendly and professional. He even gave my husband a sewing kit to use for wardrobe disaster. This is the second time staying at this location and will return.

The customer service was extraordinary! Madison blew away our expectations. Her thoughtfulness and kindess in helping us with a room that would accomodate my elderly mother's disability made a long trip so much easier. This hotel is on our radar now and it's because of people like Madison who bring such a level of kindness and consideration to her work.
