I’ve stayed at this Hampton years ago and it was fantastic. It must’ve been back when Hilton took some pride in their properties. Seems to be a standard for hotels these days to think cleaning every other day is at the convenience of the guest, when in reality, the point of being on vacation is to not have to make your bed, dump your own garbage, and reuse towels. This hotel was dirty & unkept and it’s probably due to a lack of consistent cleaning. When it’s cleaned, I’m doubting it’s being done to the level it should. There was smeared feces under the toilet bowl, the mirror in the bathroom had dried splatter marks (obvious it hadn’t been cleaned), the walls are gross with spots of who knows what, and when opening a drawer under the tv, a previous guest decided to clip their toenails and left them for us to find. We found them because the rooms aren’t being cleaned or inspected by a supervisor. It’s disgusting. I don’t even want to think about what we didn’t find. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. Glad to see renovations are in process or happening soon. In the meantime, if you stay in room 423, check for the toenails. Why didn’t I complain? There’s no point. Rarely is anything done about it, you’re treated like a “Karen”, because there’s zero customer service these days. To conclude, I overheard a gentleman ask for water in the breakfast area this morning. He was told there was water available in the workout room. This made us laugh. Are you serious?? Would it have hurt to give him a bottle of .10 water after paying almost $200/night. That’s great customer service for you! Yes indeed.
