Beautiful secret garden close to everything (harbor, nice restaurants,shops) the staff was extremly friendly and adorable they help me to upgrade the wifi speed to work. The pool area is nice and clean. The breakfast is tasty. It would be nice to provide some fresh juices or smoothies for breakfast. They had amazing fruits.

After arriving at my booked hotel on Gili Air I was so disappointed with the room and poor service I immediately checked out and found the Bel Air close by. I had no booking there but the lovely manager Endang took one look at me and sent staff to immediately bring me a cold drink. Thankfully they did have a room and I was taken to inspect the room and happily booked. I was so happy here and the staff were amazing at all times. The room was spotless, the air con just right, the bed was super comfortable, the fridge was cold, I had a lovely private area to sit, breakfast was delicious, the pool was right outside my door and everything worked as it should. There was a great restaurant next door and an atm at the entrance. I had a peaceful and relaxing stay here and would certainly book again on my next visit. Thank you Endang and staff for looking after me so well :)

My wife and I stayed at Turtle Beach Hotel for 10 days in August 2023. It is one of the few mid-range beachfront properties with a pool on Gili Air, and is located on the sunrise side of the island looking towards Lombok. There are numerous restsurants and bars in close proximity. Good snorkelling can be had straight off the beach in front of the hotel. We saw turtles every day. Gili Air is extremely chilled and overall we had a lovely relaxing stay. All of the accommodation is in thatched roof joglo - style Bungalows on either side of the pool. The Bungalows furthest from the beach have no view, and the bungalows backing onto the neighbouring Raja Bar may have some noise issues at night. We only occasionally heard the all from the mosque in the centre of the island, and it was too far away to be any issue. Breakfast each morning was adequate with toast, eggs, fruit and coffee. The onsite restaurant wasn't open for food other than breakfast, but Biba Beach Village hotel next door would do room or poolside service if you wanted. Bicycles and mask/snorkle/fins are available for hire (50k per day) from in front of the hotel. (Bike lights don't work so bring a head torch with you). The manager of Turtle Beach was friendly, attentive and engaging, however most of the staff were young, untrained and had little clue about what they were expected to do. The rooms were large with four poster beads, mosquito nets, AC, room safe and fridge. All rooms had a balcony with a couple of basic chairs. Wifi was pretty useless. The bathroom was set below the room level, with a set of wooden stairs to enter it, which always worried my wife at night as her mobility isn't great. One of the lights in our room was hanging by the wires and only worked intermittently. The shower was cold. The room was serviced daily. The pool was large, and the water clean, although the area around the pool was pretty dusty and grubby and rarely cleaned by the staff. The sun loungers were in various states of repair. I found this lack of simple maintenance a bit frustrating. The beachfront area was also very underutilised, with the furniture needing repair. Overall though, we had a very relaxing stay and the maintenance issues were more frustrating than problematic. Laundry can be done same day just around the corner at Banana Cottages for 25k/kg. The best dinner deals on the sunrise side were at Chillout BBQ. Next door Biba Beach hotel did good espresso coffee.

We’ve been staying at Gili Buana Hostel for two nights in a private room. Right now the whole island is rather quiet, but you can tell that this place is absolute magic once filled with people again :-) it is very clean, beds are comfortable, there is a pool and even a volleyball field, and plenty of space to relax or sit together with friends. Also plenty of space to put your stuff when using the shared bathrooms and working AC 😉 The owners are really nice and friendly people too, always taking the time to chat with us and good to ask for advice what to do/where to go/etc. totally recommend (and hopefully will be back one day)! (Gili Air is such a beautiful place in general btw, like paradise)

We had a short but great stay at Manta Dive Resort. Room was comfortable, good working air con and clean. Real fast was included and delicious with several options to choose from which is nice for multi day stay. We did one day of diving and the team was wonderful, rental equipment worked well, dive guides and boat staff were wonderful. The manager Rob was very helpful as well. Highly recommend as a place to base out of in the Gilis to explore and do some diving!

We had a great stay in Mola2 resort. Travelling as a family with our two grown-up kids, Mola2 wa a great location right at the beach but with quiet rooms behind the first line. The staff was friendly - especially Izom who was extremely professional, helpful and attentionate - he gave us excellent advice and helped with renting bicycles and boat trip. He was also very efficient in checking us in at the fastboat for our return trip. The manager was also very welcoming and professional. If we get a chance to come back to Gili, we will definitely come back to Mola2 resort.

This was our third visit to ‘Coco Republic’ over recent years. Great location & lovely Bungalows right by the sea on the eastern side of Gili Air Island. Breakfast is at the near-by ‘Orong Villages Beach Restaurant’ which we enjoyed. My daughter has a dietary requirement of ‘Gluten free’ (due to Coeliac disease) and the Staff went out of there was to assist with our needs. The Staff at ‘Coco Republic’ are very friendly & accommodating. Felt like we were staying with our Indonesian friends! Thank you to my friends - “Re-Joel” , “E-one” & “August” (thought I should write the names with ‘Western English’ pronunciation – to assist future Visitors!!!)

Heaven in Paradise! We love it here the trees around the pool, the landscaping of the garden, the open air bar, the colours of the decor and the decorations themselves make this a lovely place to hang around after a strenuous day snorkelling and walking around the island. It’s such a beautiful colourful place to come back to and in a great location. The rooms are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful and very well managed by Dicky, the wonderful manager.

Our stay in the hotel was for 7 nights and we loved every bit of it . From the moment we walked in , the feeling of absolute relaxation and being at a chilled out place started to be felt . We were told by the owner that we are the first guests after the pandemic and he and his family went out of the way to make us feel at home . my 2 children (7&4 years) became friends with the owners children which were also of the same age group . The property is in the middle of the village and has a unique rustic appeal and charm to it . I loved the interior design which reminded me of my ancestral home in my village . very authentic . ( reminded me of my childhood) . Mango trees in the orchard right next to the pool , multiple vegetation enhanced the experience . As the property is in the center of town so very convenient going anywhere . Multiple food joints , bars within walking distance . there are multiple things which can be improved but I fear if those improvements are done , it will lose its charm and authentic touch . i wish it to remain the same . we started missing it as soon as we left and will definitely be back .
