Escribo esto cuando aún seguimos en Pedras Salgadas… ¡esto es el paraíso! Hace 4 años vinimos los 5 y desde entonces mis 3 hijos no han dejado de pedir volver… este año lo hemos hecho, como sorpresa para ellos y está siendo tan maravilloso como recordábamos. La casa en esta ocasión es aún más grande y confortable, con todas las comodidades y todo en perfecto estado. Es cierto -como he leído en algunas críticas- que las distancias son grandes, ¡pero es que eso es parte del encanto! Caminar por un parque natural de esta belleza para ir a desayunar, al spa o a la piscina. A mí no me parece que esté descuidado, es naturaleza… Por poner un pequeño “pero”, las bicis ya no son gratuitas, ahora cuestan 20€ por persona al día, una pena porque la verdad es que te sentías como en verano azul yendo a todas partes en bici. Por lo demás, todo inmejorable: la piscina, el spa (de acceso gratuito, también para niños por las mañanas), el desayuno, la limpieza, las amenities, la atención del personal… Eso de no de volver a los sitios donde has sido muy feliz no aplica a Pedras Salgadas, ¡al menos en nuestro caso!

I stayed here this weekend, drawn in by the hotel's breathtaking location—tucked inside a gorgeous park dotted with natural spring waters. The surroundings are absolutely stunning and full of potential. The rooms are individual houses scattered throughout the wooded landscape, giving a rare sense of privacy and immersion in nature. This place has everything it needs to be truly one of a kind. Unfortunately, the charm ends there. The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance. The decor is extremely basic, lacking any warmth or soul, which feels like a missed opportunity given the setting. The real letdown, however, was the service. With only one buggy available for check-in and check-out, we waited over 30 minutes just to have our luggage picked up. Some services are handled by an outsourced security company that has no training or aptitude for hospitality—an odd and disappointing choice. The bar, despite its prime setting, is devoid of atmosphere. The menu is barebones and uninspired, and overall, we felt more like intruders than welcome guests. With some real investment in hospitality training, room renovation, and a focus on guest experience, this place could be unforgettable. For now, it remains a stunning location weighed down by poor execution.

We had a very beautiful tree room. The experience was truly amazing. The room and the tranquility of the complex were as described. The two nights were worth the trip. The restaurant was a disappointment. The restaurant is significantly inferior to the very nice rooms and desperately needs a facelift. Furthermore, the food selection was limited and unchanged on both days. My wife suffers from gluten intolerance. This limited the food choices to a single menu (risotto), which she had to choose on both days. Upon request, the kitchen was unable to organize anything else. Furthermore, there was no alternative restaurant nearby that we can recommend. As I said: The room was great. The service at reception was very good, but the restaurant and spa did not live up to the standards of the pictures or the expectations that one would expect from the beautiful rooms and the high prices. It's a shame, really. However, we can highly recommend the tree rooms for the experience.

This is described as a 20 hectare nature park so went went for a stroll around. Part of it is actually a hotel & spa. There are some modern accommodations and treatment blocks. But also derelict buildings and unkept gardens. Worth a walk around but nothing special.
