While not a horrible stay, there are some areas that need improvement about this hotel. First of all, as Hilton members we use and rely on the Hilton app for most of our booking needs as well as the digital key. After our long journey, the app told us that although the digital key was requested, it wasn’t available. This led to us having to wait in the line and get a physical key before being able to go to our room. Not a huge deal, but a minor inconvenience. Secondly, the pool area needs help! It has the potential to be wonderful! In fact, the pictures of it and calls to ensure it was open were the reason we chose this hotel. We were pretty surprised to find it somewhat trashed. The storage room was wide open with Christmas decorations and extension cords falling out. There was also trash in the form of pieces of plastic, left behind clothing, and old patio cushions scattered on the ground in the sitting areas. I personally watched the gentleman that cleans this area walk out and ignore all of these issues except one single cushion. There were also zero towels the first time we went swimming. We had to request some at the desk. Four were left on the shelf why the gentleman previously mentioned the second time we swam. Again, not major issues, but some minor work in the area could improve its appearance! Lastly, we requested a late checkout and that was not able to be accommodated. While we understand these requests are up to staff discretion, no explanation was given and the staff member was somewhat rude when giving her response. Overall, it was not a bad stay! The room was comfortable and most of the staff was friendly. The hotel is clean and up to date.
