This is a beautiful castle that is not really equipped to be a full service accommodation. This location contains only a few bedrooms, a dinner room, a breakfast room, and a small lobby and seating area. Most of the advertised activities are off-site through other companies. It is a castle with only a very small explorable area. There may be more that we didn’t see, but they want you to buy the tour for that. Not accessible at all. 20+ steps up to the front door and assistance with luggage only available at certain times. Do not recommend for mobility impaired visitors. The bedroom was clean, but still carpeted and old, as you might expect for an old castle. Not great for allergies. Not a very comfortable bed. AC was ok but not very strong. Wifi is very unreliable. Comes and goes in the room and not sufficient for video calls. Sitting in the lobby was a bit better but still not recommended if you need to work. Food was good, not amazing, with a somewhat limited menu. Breakfast was nice, buffet style with coffee drinks made fresh. I was appreciative of the multiple gluten free options. Customer service was a mixed bag. Some nice people, but others not so much. When we encountered issues, such as a rainstorm soaking multiple feet of carpet through our balcony door, the response from a front desk employee was just “it will dry”. Most of the entertainment in the area we found on our own exploration. Ivrea is a somewhat interesting small city nearby, while Lake Sirio is a great way to spend an afternoon with several restaurants, lounging areas, and swimming. Overall we were glad we visited, but wish we had spent most of our time in a more comfortable accommodation. I would recommend only coming for a dinner or tour. If you stay, make it just 1 night for the novelty, then move to another full-service accommodation.

Peccato il ristorante sia sempre chiuso.. è la seconda volta che cerco di prenotare ma cambiano il giorno di chiusura ogni volta.. il giorno di chiusura dovrebbe essere un giorno fisso altrimenti aggiornate il sito .. insomma decidetevi Peccato perché reputavo questo ristorante uno dei migliori

Chers amis Francais, chers amis Suisses; Cet endroit est à éviter absolument. Avions réservé une suite en vue d y loger 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Un mariage au château a fait cracher les décibels juste sous nos fenêtres. Impossible de dormir. Je précise que l hotel ne nous a absolument pas signalé la presence de ce mariage comme cela se fait en général dans les endroits civilisés. Nous avons signalé le fait que nous ne pouvions trouver le sommeil au veilleur de nuit (seule personne de l hôtel encore présente) et nous sommes retrouvés dans 2 minuscules chambres en dehors des murs du château. L une d elle était malheureusement un nid de scorpions. Les enfants étaient terrorisés. Nous avons demandé à voir le directeur de l hôtel le lendemain en vue d obtenir un dédommagement. L individu en question à commencé par nous hurler dessus avant de vouloir en venir aux mains. Passez votre chemin. Il existe des endroits bien plus dignes en Italie.

Abbiamo provato il ristorante a cena in una giornata anonima .la location è favolosa ,il mangiare molto meno , la lingua era dura anche se l' abbinamento terra mare non mi è dispiaciuto,l' anatra era buona,ma anche lei non morbidissima,buono il fondo di cottura.la torta non all'altezza di un ristorante gourmet.il vino buono ,il conto non eccessivamente caro . Conclusioni se avessi digerito il tutto senza problemi ci sarei tornato per provare altri piatti ,ma visto che così non è stato penso che lascerò ad altri questa esperienza.

Castello sopra le aspettative, a noi hanno assegnato una camera con un graditissimo up grade in junior suite, stupenda, in ogni angolo si respira tutta l'affascinante atmosfera del castello. Non perdetevi la visita guidata e la storia del castello
