Corbett Jungle Inn, Riverside Forest Lodge - Frh

This was our first time visiting Jim Corbett and we definitely hit a jackpot when we decided to try a camping spot rather than a glamping/3/4 star hotels. It is a luxury to live amongst the wildlife, witness the animals crossing over to the river every morning and evening, sit by a bonfire and spend the night waiting to hear the call of the deer. If this is not the point of visiting Jim Corbett what is?? The bed and the blankets were warm enough, the room and the bathroom was clean enough for our 3 night stay. Food was 5 minutes drive away. We saw all animals including 4 types of deer, jackels and an elephant right from the inn. We had deers visit us early morning and late night. Spotted several birds too. We missed the tiger though and I was not happy. On our way back we met several people who had taken different safaris hoping to see the tiger but guess what-after paying for the safri all that they saw was a few deer and the jungle. Realisation dawned, it is pure luck to witness a tiger even if you happen to take the safari! The owner of the place is an excellent guide and knows the ins and outs of the area. He took us on a small treck to the river bed to see pugmarks of tiger and deer and even saw jackels here. We stayed here with our 4 year old who enjoyed the most amongst us. I would recommend this place to everyone who loves nature and will definitely visit again. If you do plan to come here don't take the safari instead stay here for 2/3 nights minimum and you will see every type of animal possible. Be ready to stay up and see the night jungle in its full glory. The owner wins our hearts with all his stories and knowledge of the jungle. He is a one person you should meet if you want to know anything about the national park!

It was very amazing and enriching experience... spending my time ...abode to the mystical himalayan foothills... made me felt relaxed .. the hospitality was good and the property is nice... I would recommend to nature lover traveller's to consider visiting and spending at this property...

excellent location excellent service very fantastic location, Riverside, with in reserve forest, full of wild life , call of the wildlife can be heard from inside the room, deers, leopard, elephants, tiger, shabhar , fox etc good for bird lovers, bird watching, on the highway, no need of air conditions or TV , if you want pollution free peaceful stay its good place for you, excellant sustainable tourism model
