A visit to the Taj Rishikesh has become an annual tradition. Every year, the service and hospitality remains consistently brilliant with a little surprise or new addition. This year, our highlight was the afternoon spent at the Pebble Beach restaurant. Chef Ayush enthusiastically introduced us to some new and unusual flavours. His passion for his craft shone through as he talked us through the different ingredients as well as the local communities/villages from where they are sourced. As for the service, we also appreciated the attention to detail by Ravindra. They are such a great team. Other highlights included the afternoon tea - especially the lady (Hemlata?) who manages the tea counter with such great energy. Despite being so busy, she found time to cater to our special dietary needs. The hotel shop has been beautifully curated - playful, magical and imaginative. I recommend you spend some time there with Lydia as your guide. Every year, when our visit comes to an end, I feel genuinely sad to leave this little piece of heaven behind, but then look forward to returning the next year and meeting people who are now familiar faces.
