Aranyam River Retreat

I had been to Aranyam Resort and I was blown away by the serenity and clam that this place offers. Yes there are many other cheaper alternatives but the location, the facilities and the feeling of space offered here is cut above the rest. Shout out to the lovely hospitality and awesome food served here. Definitely a must visit 👍👍

Taking time out from our cramped schedules, the two of us decided to spend the longish Holi weekend in Rishikesh. Aranyam turned out to be the perfect location for our stay. Hospitable staff, very-well maintained environs and delicious food are a few factors that make this place immensely likeable. It is also pretty close to the Bungee Jump point, and its setting beneath the bridge is a treat to the eyes! Special mention to Asif Jamal, Mahavir Chauhan and Govind for making our stay pretty comfortable, and a big thumbs-up to Aranyam on the whole.

Getting to the camp can be an arduous task but then don't they say....there was never anything worthwhile achieved without much toil. The entire journey to the camp can be just what you want to make of it, it can seem a long drive or it can be a very nice journey going through various turns just like life. Reaching the camp definitely refreshes you completely and believe me since it did the same to us despite the fact that we had been on the road for almost 16 hours since our bus broke down twice on the way and we took multiple breaks as well but when we reached there at 10 pm in the night, it was a nice warm welcome and the small downhill trek combined with crossing the stream in the dark was a mini-adventure in itself. There was a bon-fire and snacks waiting to be devoured and they were delicious. There's a facility for DJ session and there was one going on with a big gang of young office-goers if there are takers for that as well, although we were pretty happy just being in the lap of nature. The rooms that we had taken were not tents but the luxury rooms, which had neat and clean interiors with contemporary decor. There were LCD TVs, hot water in the rooms, proper bed/bedding which was really welcome after a long and tiring journey. I remember sleeping like a log and waking up completely refreshed. The next day saw us lazing around in the stream with kids having fun in the water initially and then the grass clearing of the camp. There are possibilities of trek around the place and the staff will take you for rock-climbing/rappelling and other activities nearby as per your requirement. The approach to the camp/road is either through the bridge or a bit of climb. The location is very nice as if the camp sits in a valley in the midst of the hills. A perfect getaway for a long weekend to realx in the midst of nature.

Property and it's surroundings are amazing. Staff and food are mind blowing.. you will feel like home away from away.. rooms and amenities are also so good that you will feel the money which you spent was worth spending.

It's a place far from Rishikesh, so for people thinking that they will visit Laxman jhula and Rishikesh. It will be a task. This is located in a place where car doesn't reach and you have to travel for good 1 km downhill to reach the property. Never ever take senior citizens or people who have knee problem. This is not the place for them. Now let's talk about the good things. Wonderfully set in the downhill with a river flowing near your room is a delight. Sound of river flowing in itself brings peace. View from the property is a bliss and all the effort that you do to reach this place feels nothing. You can also sit near the river and just soak the beauty. Food- When we stayed in the property there was no proper chef and food was ok. Our last meal was prepared by chef and it was too good. Staff- staff is too good. All locals and always available for your service. They take time but pace is not what you are looking at when you stay here. Property- property needs investment, what I saw was that someone not taking care of its property and not investing enough. Pool table needs repair, furniture needs work, kids area is not there. Rooms are just fine and nothing great about them that stands out. All in all a place where you can have a peaceful stay

This is a very beautifully located resort on the river bank in a very serene, peaceful, green and ideal location for nature and peace lovers. Resort is very beautiful, has spacious rooms with amazing view of the river from balcony, artistically designed cafeteria, delicious and amazing food, beautiful gardens and open space to sit, very courteous and helpful staff and gives memories to cherish for long. Would definitely visit again and again.
