I absolutely do not recommend renting this place. The landlord unreasonably withheld my deposit. Upon check-out, the landlord inspected every room and asked if everything was okay. She said it was fine and signed a statement confirming everything was fine. We were waiting for the 5,000 deposit to be refunded electronically. Suddenly, the landlord withheld 300, citing cigarette smoke and dirty towels and sheets. How could this be? We had already checked and checked out, and if there were any issues, they should have immediately produced the dirty towels and sheets for verification. Now that we've left, the room is smelling and dirty. Then they sent me these pictures. If it were really as dirty as the pictures, it would be obvious. This is simply an attempt to frame the tenant. I feel like I was ripped off for 300. We didn't smoke at all, so how could there be a cigarette smell? We smelled the sewer as soon as we entered the room. Could she have mistaken the sewer for cigarette smoke? We didn't use her towels, so how could they be dirty? The sheets aren't new, and certainly not pristine white. Basically the whole house is old, and two of the four bathrooms are leaking. Everyone should be very careful with dishonest landlords like this.
