We loved our stay in this gorgeous beachfront guest house. Our room was enormous, super comfortable bed, lots of wardrobe space and great bathroom. The staff were attentive and the breakfast each day was delicious looking over the stunning bay. A wonderful massage completed the stay.

Paternoster Dunes is a really lovely well appointed and very well positioned Boutique Hotel on the Western edge of the Touristy but quite quaint small town of Paternoster. Paternoster is about 1.5hrs due North of Cape Town up the R27. The Hotel is well positioned right on the Beachfront, with direct access to the sandy beach. The staff are very friendly, courteous, and professional, we were greeted on arrival by the Guy on reception who told us all we needed to know as new guests and then took us on a tour of the Hotel, it’s facilities and how the honesty bar worked before taking us to our room and doing the same there with the TV, Shower and Air Con. This was really appreciated and saved us asking loads of questions later. The room was lovely and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was good with a selection of Fruit, Yoghurt, bread condiments etc, followed by a hot breakfast option, all really good quality produce. Our room on the ground floor had an outside alcove seating area with a view of and direct access to the beach. There’s parking at the Hotel and the rest of the Town, Bars and Restaurants are between 5 and 20 minutes away on foot. Absolutely no negatives, a great place to stay.

This guesthouse was such a gem in this small seaside town. The Aqua room which we stayed in overlooked the beach and had a very good decking. In the morning it was so wonderful to wake up, open the doors and bring the sounds of the sea into your bedroom room whilst having a cup of tea. The breakfast view on the first floor were excellent. Beautifully presented, plentiful and very tasty indeed. The tea and cake at 4pm was such a treat too! Staff were warm and welcoming. They helped with dinner reservations and general info of the small town. We loved everything about the Dunes. Would highly recommend and hope to go back again.

Having stayed at the Dunes in Paternoster I was very disappointed. The room was called tranquil and it was everything but ! a constant stream of guests and staff constantly going past the room and banging doors. We were also very shocked to be asked if we needed housekeeping, beds/towels/glasses etc from our experience it is a norm that housekeeping would make up the room and change towels etc. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment.
