The staff all spoke good English and provided service that exceeded expectations.
I highly recommend trying breakfast/dinner at least once. Every menu item we chose was truly excellent.
One thing that was a bit disappointing in terms of facilities was that the room ceiling was low, so tall people might find it a bit uncomfortable.
Because the interior was made of wood, the soundproofing was not good.

The most wonderful hotel! Very attentive staff, wonderful, calm, even peaceful place. From the point of view of visiting for a couple of days, Lalitpur is an ideal location, next to Durbar Square, but not noisy and - importantly - not dusty.
Be careful - this is a heritage hotel - a low ceiling right in the room according to the best traditions of Newar architecture. Delicious food in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner).

Die Pension ist nicht nur unglaublich gut gelegen, gute Restaurants, Museum und Geschäfte sie ist auch sehr einladend. Alle Zimmer sind individuell gestaltet und authentisch. Der Innenhof sowie die Bibliothek lädt zum verweilen ein. Alle Materialien sind mit Bedacht gewählt. Der Kaffee ist dank einer high end Maschine super. Wir hatten herrliches Wetter und das Frühstück draußen war lecker und entspannt. Übrigens die beste warme Dusche die ich in Nepal hatte. Super freundliches Personal. Eine Übernachtung wert.

We loved our stay at The Inn Patan! The property is a charming heritage hotel with eight rooms and suites. Buddha and the staff were so accommodating, pointing us in the right direction during our week with them. Located next to Durbar Square with it UNESCO sites, Museum and all the restaurants and bazaars. The kitchen turned out a lovely breakfast as well as drinks, lunch and dinner. The staff are so kind and soft-spoken it was truly a pampering experience. Patan is a perfect starting place to explore Kathmandu and the nearby sites in Nepal. It was always nice to come home to the quiet oasis of the Inn.

The worst food you'll ever taste in any of the restaurants in Patan! They served frozen fries and momos which was just awful. The service was late and chef was mannerless! I would not recommend this place to anyone! They did not even serve hot food!

I lived in Patan, Nepal in 2006 and have returned several times to reconnect with my "Nepali Family" and the one of kind culture of the Kathmandu Valley. The Inn Patan is a treasured restoration of a traditional Newari home, and is a moments walk to Patan's Durbar Square. The property is extremely quiet, the on-site restaurant is excellent, and the staff are consistently wonderful and accommodating. My husband, friend and I throughly enjoyed our stay and will stay at The Inn Patan when we return to Nepal.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for nearly two weeks of my one month of travel in Nepal. I was traveling with a group of college students and professors from Northeastern University. After only one night there it quickly became our home away from home! I stayed in Room 2 and spent most of my time sitting in my windowsill and enjoying the view of the courtyard. The bedroom and bathroom were cozy, comfortable, and clean. The real charm of the Inn however is the incredible staff! We were tremendously cared for throughout our stay, with constant attention to our needs (and some we didn't even know we had). There was always new drinking water in the room and (optional) daily room cleanings. I also highly recommend dining at the Inn! Of course you have to sample the classic Nepali Thali and the momos (chicken or veg!), but the chicken pita and pesto pasta can't be missed. I truly loved staying here!
