GGuest UserA truly excellent stay. The front desk had a very helpful staff member from Taiwan. The breakfast restaurant was superb, offering outstanding food and a wonderful dining experience. The swimming pools were also excellent, featuring both a saltwater pool and a regular pool, making them perfect for kids. We also enjoyed beautiful sunset views. There are several good restaurants nearby, which are ideal for families with kids. The hotel's location is very convenient, perfectly situated between Naha, the northern ocean park, and Dino.

CCurious TravellerThe overall condition of the hotel, including the rooms, restaurants and pools, is good. The room (over 60 sqm) is spacious with a tatami and sofa sitting area as well as a small balcony facing the sea. The view at sunset is beautiful. There are not many rooms per floor so the hotel is quiet and relaxing. We had the pool to ourselves on both occasions when we swam. The private beach just opposite the hotel( 6-7 minutes walk downhill ) is also worth a visit but it closes at 6pm. The sister hotel nearby offers shuttles and tuk tuk service and they were nice to come back to the beach to pick up any hotel guests 10-15 minutes past six ( even though the schedule indicated that the last shuttle would be at 6pm. ). Breakfast had good options and definitely worth it as there isn’t any cafe nearby. For lunch or dinner, there are 10-12 restaurants within walking distance offering Okinawan cuisine and the concierge is happy to make recommendations. Parking costs ¥1000 per day and they offered a ¥1000 yen voucher if we opt for the “no daily cleaning “ option. The voucher can be used for parking or shopping in the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its facilities and we loved the very large room( try to go the indoor pool and the sauna too).

__WeChat28936****I used to stay near Cape Manza whenever I visited Okinawa, but this time I wanted to try a different beach, so I booked the Moon Beach Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained and quite nice. The room was surprisingly spacious. I didn't book a sea-view room, but if you have the option, definitely go for it – it's absolutely worth it! For breakfast, there are two choices: a Japanese set meal or a more standard Western-style buffet. The room key is quite unique; it's shaped like a seahorse. On the ground floor, there's a shop selling beachwear, which is a good option if you haven't brought any. Eating out near the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of options. There are also many diving schools and car rental places nearby. Some diving schools even offer Chinese-speaking services, so it's worth checking out if you're interested. I'll definitely be back next year! 🤩🥳

CChilunThe hotel is located on Kouri Island, with a very nice view of Kouri Bridge. The room is large and equipped with cooking utensils. It can accommodate many people. The cleaning time was very random and did not follow the schedule, and the hotel staff came into the room to clean without prior notice. I was a bit dissatisfied. Since I had notified the hotel through Trip.com before departure that I would arrive very late, but when I arrived, I found that the front desk was closed, and there was no prior notice from Trip.com or the hotel about the key collection arrangements, which made my group very panic. Fortunately, I found Trip.com customer service to find the password. Thank you to the customer service and compensation for helping me handle it that day.

MM272330****Pros: 1. The hotel is close to the Cape Manza scenic spot, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. 2. The hotel offers a wide range of water activities, including but not limited to banana boats, jet skis, an inflatable water park, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises. If you're not planning on visiting the outer islands, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. Cons: 1. The hotel is a bit old. The lobby has no air conditioning 🥵, and the room decor and furnishings feel dated. The shower pressure in the bathroom 🚿 isn't great either. 2. The outdoor pool closes at 6 PM, and the beach only stays open until 5 PM. I won't even mention other times, but Okinawa right now is scorching hot and sunny. The only time you can really enjoy the pool or ocean without getting baked is closer to sunset (unless you don't mind the sun, then never mind what I said). But then you only get to play for a short while before you have to leave!! 😅

JJessie_1208The room was better than I'd expected. Although the decor was a bit dated, it was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The bed was also large enough, so sleeping with our child didn't feel cramped at all. The weather wasn't great during our stay, which meant the sea wasn't very inviting, and we didn't get to use the children's play facilities on the beach. Both the outdoor and indoor pools had children's slides; they were decent but not huge, offering all the essentials. Before checking out, I informed the front desk that I needed to go to the airport, and they kindly arranged a shuttle bus for me. It took less than an hour and a half to reach the airport, and we didn't even have to walk to an outside bus stop. The shuttle was very prompt. We booked the hotel very last minute, and it was during the peak summer season (even with a typhoon, other hotels were incredibly expensive at that time!). For a price of just over 2000, including breakfast for two adults and one child, I still think it offered good value for money. As for dining, the breakfast spread was enormous; you could find almost anything you'd want. Their buffet dinner also offered excellent value. We tried the Japanese restaurant, and with the 10% discount voucher from the hotel, it was only just over 100 per person. You could even make your own sashimi bowls, and the food tasted great. Finally, there were quite a few things that incurred extra charges, which slightly detracted from the overall holiday feel.

GGuest UserThe location and the hotel in particular are perfect for relaxation – it was quiet and the number of guests was manageable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied, which we could also say about dinner (we booked it with the dinner, which further enhanced our relaxation). The sea and beach area was sometimes a bit sobering due to the tides, but overall we were very satisfied and can happily recommend the hotel.

GGuest UserWe brought our 3+ years old boy on a 2 night stay during golden week (May 2024) and opted in for a dinner buffet on the first night. It was 2200 yen per adult n foc for my boy. The spread was limited but worth all its penny as the beef was so tender and juicy so i feasted on it. All other dishes were also very good. The private beach was convenient and the water was so clear it looked like mineral water. There was a 50% discount voucher you can get from the hotel reception for the banana boat ride at the private beach and our boy enjoyed this and another ride. The young instructor who pulled us out on a jet ski for our water rides was friendly and went at a good speed for our 3 year old who was doing the water actitivties for the first time without us having to tell him to do so. He even went to the coral reefs and picked up a starfish n a sea cucumber to show our boy before returning it back to the sea. The water activites was affordable with the discount, price similar to Msia/Thailand/Indonesia resorts i have been to. I was apprehensive booking this resort after reading the reviews on the state of the hotel showing signs of aging. However, the place was well maintained. There was an unpleasant smell when i opened the door to our room but its actually just the tatami which needed some airing. After opening the windows to let in the natural breeze, all was good. Cleaniness for toilet was good too; just need to figure out the temp control for the shower. The onsite onsen was clean and easily accessible at the basement, and wld have cost us at least 1200yen for a visit to a public onsite iin naha. Totally recommend this resort for a fam outing with young children. I understand they have barrier free access rooms on the first floor of the resort so there were some families with elderly too.

GGuest UserThe white cottages are lined up in a place that is easily visible from the road, so you can arrive without getting lost. Check-in was thorough, so it took a long time, and I got bitten by a lot of mosquitoes, but I was warmed by the human touch. The building I stayed in was in the style of an American house from the Showa era. There was a dining table, couch, and chairs, and the ceilings were high and comfortable. The electrical appliances seemed to be a mix of nostalgic and newer items. There were not many places to plug in electrical outlets. Is this because of the place's aging? The bathroom window wouldn't open, and the lock seemed broken, so as a sensitive city dweller, I was worried about security (it was fine, of course). It was a comfortable stay.

SsandyhowWe booked a 2-night stay at WoodPecker Nakijin to experience camper van living. Due to some delays at the airport, we arrived late and had to contact the hotel since they don’t offer 24-hour check-in. We didn’t get a reply, so our rental car staff kindly helped us call the hotel — although they didn’t speak English, they were helpful and guided us through self check-in via our rental car staff. The environment was well maintained, but the facilities inside the camper van were quite dated. We had to skip showering the first night as there was no hot water, though the issue was promptly fixed the next morning. The steps inside the camper van were quite high, and I tripped a few times during our stay. It rained heavily on our second night, and unfortunately, the noise from the rain hitting the roof made it difficult to sleep. On the plus side, the location was easy to find — there’s a large signboard right by the road, so you can’t miss it. The site offers free parking (you can park right next to your camper van), as well as a spa, sauna, swimming pool, and BBQ pit. There’s also a beautiful, private beach right behind the hotel with a great view. The hotel is close to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Nakijin Castle Ruins, and Bise Village. However, there isn’t a convenience store within walking distance — you’ll need to drive about 5 minutes to reach one.
