The Spring Festival spent two days in Yunyutian comfortably and satisfied.
The masters, Brother Zhao and Brother Jun, can come together with the customs of various places in Yunnan, and they are as precious as their own homestays. From design, construction, to operation, they can feel their taste and intentions everywhere.
Figure 1: I didn't take much pictures of the hotel environment, just go to see the official number. As the manager said, I slept very comfortably, even people like me who want to bring their own pillows to go out can go to the sky overnight.
Figure 2: The sun persimmon at the entrance of the hotel. I want to see the roof turn green again in summer.
Figure 3: Rice fields as the sun rises.
Picture 4-5: The theater of the homestay, the exterior wall is built from diatom mud produced by Benzilan. In the evening, we watched two documentary films with snacks.
Figure 6: At the Spring Festival, the store manager took us to the village to eat dinner. 16 dishes, delicious. Cantonese certified chicken is very chicken.
Picture 7: The fried dumplings at the homestay, I also packed a few roads to eat.
Picture 8-9: Brother Zhao took us to the Jinsha River and Sun Temple. Today I picked up a lot of stones, and you should see the new dumpling shelves when you visit!

DushishikeI want to write a detailed review of this guesthouse in Weixi.
There were so few reviews that I was a little worried before booking. We arrived a bit late and hadn't eaten, so the owners quickly cooked some dishes for us: stir-fried pork with chili peppers and shredded potatoes—very home-style cooking, but incredibly delicious.
We booked a room on the first floor, all made of solid wood with underfloor heating. The bedding was brand-name and very comfortable, and the bathroom had a smart toilet.
The most unforgettable experience was the breakfast the next day, along with the beautiful little garden. I must say, it was the best yak butter tea I've ever had, along with roasted glutinous rice cakes with a hint of wheat flavor, and steamed buns made by the owner himself, all made with grains he grew himself. The eggs were also much more fragrant than those in the city.
You can tell the owner puts their heart into the business; the flowers and plants in the courtyard were blooming beautifully even in winter. We originally planned to book Songtsam, but it was fully booked, so we stayed here. After visiting the suites upstairs, we felt this place offered excellent value for money. If I have the chance to come to Weixi again, I will definitely choose Yue Ting.
Here are some pictures of the upstairs guest rooms; the window views are amazing, and you can even see the Bodhidharma Cave in the distance. This is Qibie Village in Weixi Township, a small village entirely inhabited by the Naxi people, worth slowing down and staying for a few days.

Guest UserThe room is clean and sanitary, the environment is beautiful and quiet, the service is warm and thoughtful. Due to landslides on some roads, it was not easy to walk, so we arrived at night. The owner provided us with dinner for free, which was very touching. Highly recommended!

The lobby is spacious and bright, with a natural combination of logs and green plants. You can see the green plants full of vitality when you open the window in the room. The lady at the front desk has a super sweet smile, a good service attitude, and quick check-in. The room is warm and stylish, and it's great for taking photos! The bedding is soft and comfortable, and you can sleep until you wake up naturally~

It is really a very good homestay. The room is spacious, bright and clean. You can see a whole green mountain outside the window in the room. The green is very eye-catching. The boss and the proprietress are simple, warm and generous. Because of some personal reasons, you need to check out early. After discussing with the proprietress, She agreed without saying anything. So if you want to see the Golden Monkey and Damo Zushi Temple, it is recommended to stay at their homestay. There is really no need to live in those very expensive hotels. This is very cost-effective!

It was a surprise to stay in this B&B in Tacheng County. The room is very spacious, bright, clean and tidy. The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The room is very comfortable as a whole. The bath water is very good. The owner and the proprietress of the B&B are very enthusiastic and pet-friendly. There is a large courtyard with convenient parking. It is very rich and worth recommending!

The hotel is quite large for the area, so the parking lot is also quite large, which is rare in the area, and can probably accommodate over 20 cars.
The owner can arrange interactions with locals, home visits, and cultural heritage experiences. The bedding and toiletries are excellent. The shower has strong water pressure and plenty of water, and the shower floor drain drains quickly, preventing water from accumulating. Breakfast, tea/coffee, and meals by the fields are a fantastic setting. I found the breakfast delicious, featuring local, seasonal ingredients.
Tacheng isn't as well-known as Shangri-La in Lijiang. At an altitude of around 2,400 meters, the climate is excellent, and it's definitely worth a 2-3 night stay to experience it all. You can hike, harvest, meditate, and more. Most importantly, local ethnic minorities (think Tibetans and Lisu) still live here. From your room or balcony, you can see the fields working in the distance. I have to say Songtsam's location is a sure win. (This is not a review of the Songtsam Hotel.)
There are also many boutique B&Bs in the area, all very unique, so be sure to book in advance.

Anonymous UserThe guesthouse is located in Tacheng, making it convenient for watching golden monkeys. The overall environment of the guesthouse is nice, the rooms are quite large, and the owner had arranged fresh flowers. There's a small balcony, and the owner was very welcoming. The breakfast was also quite plentiful. The only drawback was that the bedding wasn't very clean. When I lifted the covers, I saw long hairs and some black bits of dirt, which would be very unpleasant for someone with a strong aversion to germs. I hope they can improve their hygiene standards.

This is a noisy hotel, we could hear the neighbours talking and showering. There was also a lot of noise from the street. It was quiet only after midnight. The room was clean, the sanitary facilities though outdated. Nice view of the mountains. Friendly owners.
