GGuest UserLocation was perfect for me as it is within walking distance to the main attraction which is the wharf. The spacious room which is bright with ample lighting and has a beautiful view overlooking the lake. However the restaurant is not great for the 2 times I visited. The steak was hard and the Artic char was not fresh. When told to the waitress, she simply looked at me and said the fish is frozen. Overall the hotel atmosphere is very pleasant and resort like.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were very welcoming and proactively offered recommendations for nearby attractions. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was perfectly satisfactory. Out of the five different hotels we stayed at during our Banff trip, this was the only one that provided breakfast. There's a convenience store and fast-food options nearby, and it's also very close to the highway.

GGuest UserAbsolutely stunning view. Cabin was older but very charming, we made the most of the fireplace in the room and enjoyed a view of the lake from our balcony. Bathroom was clean with everything we needed. Coffee also provided in the room which was nice. I read the beds were uncomfortable on other reviews and I’d partially agree - not the best but again not the main reason or expectation for visiting emerald lake. I will say the pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable.  Staff were very friendly and attentive. Shuttle service was easy. Restaurant was pricey but overall good. No wifi or signal in the room is something to be aware of, but heightened the experience in my opinion. Overall, great!

AAnonymous UserOur 2 bedroom suite has 3 stories. The entrance was on the 2nd floor, there were no elevators. On the second floor there were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and laundry. Go up a flight of stairs there’s the living room, kitchen and dining area, and a powder room. The house was generally clean and tidy. But when we were about to go to sleep we saw a few strands of hair under the pillows and it was quite disturbing. We knew it was not our hair because we saw it just as we were going to bed and picked up the pillows to fluff them; no one had used the bed yet. We then opened the blanket to check and there was one strand of hair under the covers too. Management apologized for it and was sincere but that did not help with our experience. It was the hair under the pillows that made us feel that bedsheets were likely not changed. A few other things: Headrail of blind was loose and fell down when we opened the blind. In the kitchen cooking oil/condiments seemed to be provided, but was empty. Overall I would probably have rated this stay 4.5 stars if it wasn’t for the hair on the bedsheets. That made us all feel very uneasy

CCKWtripThe hotel is good size and clean. It is located off the main highway but we did not hear any road noise in our room. It is a few minutes drive into the busier part of Golden. We chose to stay in Golden to explore Yoho National Park. Comparing with the lodging options in Lake Louise, staying in Golden was good value. The only complaint I had was the bed. The mattresses did not provide good motion isolation.

GGuest UserIt was in line with expectations and the location was easy to find. The breakfast was nutritious enough, but the variety certainly couldn't be compared with that of a five-star hotel. Home-cooked food would be more comfortable. My friend is also coming to visit, so I will recommend it to my friends.

GGuest UserThe waiter was very good, one light in my room was broken, and we were dealt with it quickly. The furniture is a bit old but clean, the king bed room, the bed is really big and comfortable, the location is close to the city center.

GGuest UserThere was no elevator, but only 2 short sets of stairs. Was not a problem. Room was good, although don’t understand why there aren’t rooms available at solo travellers prices. No safe.Hot tub had  sand in the bottom . No towels one time. Pool area clean though. Breakfast was good, ran out of a few items and had to ask for them. Good selection of tea, although no Red Rose. Coffee was awesome. Wondering if a smoking tower could be out by picnic tables. Such a nice spot to sit. Instead of smoking out front  at the entrance.

DDHL321Although this is a hotel under the Travelodge brand, it turns out to be more like a basic motel. The actual condition is quite different from the photos shown. First of all, the room facilities are outdated. The lighting is inconsistent, with both warm and cool tones due to mismatched light bulbs. The window-type air conditioner produces a lot of noise. The TV couldn’t receive any signal, and the cleanliness was below expectations. Only about a quarter of the showerhead was functioning properly, and the fridge did not have a freezer compartment. The breakfast is just better than nothing. The only positive aspect was the friendly attitude of the front desk staff. Overall, considering the price, it was not worth the value.
