"Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They were professional and always smiley whenever we got back hotel. Especially yu min 于敏 wang jing王晶, they helped with our smooth check in and check out and my many enquires. Requested for late check out for 30mins and they gave me 1 hour instead, really appreciate for that!!! We were surprised with the little gift pack from the hotel. It’s the local tea leaves and volcanos rock!! It’s something so unique and interesting as a gift! It’s one of the best hotels I would say!! Room was spacious, clean and smart. The layout and lighting of the room make our stay very comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was delivered right to our room in the morning at our specific timing. This saves us effort to make our way to the dining place for breakfast when we can enjoyed it in our room. The laundry room was definitely a huge plus for us. Totally free of charge for washing and drying clothing. The stay was so great and we decided to extend one more night. Location is near the town area. Either flag for taxi or ask the receptionist for help would be a better option. It’s very convenient to roam around the area as taxi is widely available. Overall it was an awesome and enjoyable stay."

"Exceptional Stay in Changbaishan – Highly Recommended! I recently stayed at a hotel in Changbaishan, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish, everything was managed exceptionally well, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with rooms that are both comfortable and impeccably clean. One of the standout features was the outdoor onsen—an absolutely amazing place to unwind amidst the serene natural surroundings. The decoration in front of hotel with rows and rows of cute snowmen are also very lovely, we took plenty of photos there. Additionally, the free transportation services were incredibly efficient, including a convenient shuttle service to and from the train station and free transfers to the ski site. The staff were all friendly and helpful, even though communication was sometimes challenging as we don’t speak Mandarin. A special shoutout to Ms. Zhang Yong Ping 张永评 (WeChat: Xin Xin 鑫鑫), the guest manager from the front desk department, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Ms. Zhang provided us with outstanding butler service and demonstrated exceptional kindness, professionalism, and hospitality. She helped us navigate the complexities of buying tickets and traveling to Changbaishan, ensured we boarded the correct buses, and even made sure we didn’t miss any important connections. Due to high season, we couldn’t secure a room in Building 3 for our second night and had to reserve rooms in Building 2 via an online platform. Ms. Zhang kindly and proactively made arrangements so we could stay in Building 3 throughout our visit—a thoughtful gesture that made a huge difference. Every aspect of our stay was well taken care of, and the staff’s dedication to providing excellent service truly stood out. Thanks to Ms. Zhang and the entire hotel team, our time in Changbaishan was a wonderful experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We’re grateful for the warm hospitality and look forward to returning in the future!"

"The front desk staff greeted us warmly when we entered the room and poured us 2 cups of hot water, which was very warm. The room we were given the first time had a smell and the ceiling was peeling. We changed to another room and the door could not be opened. The waiter said it was broken. Later, the front desk staff took a new room card and punched it in. I rested for about 5 minutes and went out to play. Before leaving, I found that the pillow was wrinkled as if I had slept in it, so I asked the waiter to put 2 clean pillowcases in the room. When I came back to change the pillowcases at night, I found blood stains on the pillows, which means that the pillows used by the previous guest were not changed at all. After reporting the problem to the front desk, two breakfasts were sent. The overall hygiene quality is too poor, and the attitude of the front desk staff is good."

"The room was spacious, the hot springs were exceptional, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options (though not entirely to my personal taste). Most importantly, the butler service (管家莹莹 小張）was outstanding. From the moment of arrival, throughout the stay, and even during outings, the staff provided comprehensive 24-hour assistance. They followed up on every detail and ensured everything ran smoothly, creating a truly welcoming and home-like experience. The level of care and attention made me feel like a valued guest at every turn, leaving a lasting impression on the overall quality of my stay."

"Stayed for two nights and upgraded to a deluxe twin bed, which should be 4 square meters more than what I originally booked. As soon as I entered the door, I saw the stone shrine on the balcony. 😁Maybe because of the mountain, it is a bit different from the traditional five-star, but fortunately the service is good. I bought a package ticket for unlimited access to hot springs, Tianchi VIP ride, and three hours of skiing. My child was over the height limit, so I paid 500 more to share all services. The train station is free to pick up and drop off, and the journey takes 50 minutes. Living on the mountain has relatively few dining options, but the scenery on the north slope is really invincible. It's great that Tianchi VIP doesn't have to queue for 1 hour. Xiao Zhao at the concierge is very enthusiastic, and the car booking and luggage services are very thoughtful. Overall, I am very satisfied. There are many types of breakfast, and the noodles are delicious, especially the spicy minced meat with ingredients is suitable for the taste of Shanghai Xiaolongbao. It is recommended to have more steamed options."

"The Chang Bai Shan hot spring hotel is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to visit! They have public hot spring pools that are clean with great amenities.  Around the hotel there is a ‘walking street’ with a great selection of shops within walking distance of the hotel, with a grocery store, a couple of restaurants and a gift shop."

"The hotel offers free pick up service from the train station, which allowed us to connect with a driver called Ting Ting. The distance from Changbaishan railway station to the hotel is about a 10 min drive away. The hotel is clean, offers hot ginseng tea and the room is extremely spacious. The amenities kit is good too, with body lotion provided. Guests services staff are extremely helpful and kind. However, we spoke mandarin with them so I think the experience will be better if you spoke in Chinese. Breakfast at hotel is also a great spread - mainly noodles, rice, and Chinese dishes that tastes great. Coffee machine provided relatively great espresso (for an automatic machine). However, the highlight would be Ting Ting; whom we connected via Mercure. We were tourists without a local Chinese mobile number, so she knew and told us it’s extremely difficult for us to get anywhere in Changbaishan (there is only a local T3 ride hailing app, and Didi is not applicable there). She offered to drive us around for our stay (3D2N) instead, and taught us how to book our tickets for Changbaishan National Park. She also recommended and drove us to dining places that she has tried, and they were indeed great shops with tasty food! Ting Ting also reminded us what we needed to prep to go up to Changbaishan and took us to rent the necessary gear (fleece guard protection for knee, fleece shoes etc) as we did not have the right attire for the -10 and up temp in early March. She is extremely helpful and kind. Highly recommend Mercure and Ting Ting! 美居酒店又干净，房间也很大。早餐也丰富，多样。咖啡机的意式浓缩还很不错。酒店的柜台和工作人员都很友善，服务周到。因为酒店有包接站服务，我们链接了司机婷婷。她真的太好了，我们没大陆手机号，不知道根本去不了哪里。婷婷也教我们怎么购买长白山景区票、怎么玩。然后重要的是她也提醒我们上长白山需要注意的-我们不够防冷和防风的衣裳和鞋子，所以她也带我们去租了。婷婷也介绍我们好吃的地方，真的赞赞赞！"

"The hotel is in a great location and convenient for travel! The hotel service is warm and the facilities are complete and new! There is a self-service laundry room, robot delivery, and TV projection, which is simple and convenient. Compared with the local five-star hotel, the comprehensiveness of the service is not much less."

"Pick up service is not good for foriegner who cannot speak chinese, we had been to contact them before arrive even call from beijing but no one pick up at the train station that made us faced a lot of problem. Location is close to the north slope scenic area, Restaurant is very good. Actually this hotel is ok but comunication is the problem."

"This hostel staff are really nice and helpful. They are trying their best to sort out your problems, which I really appreciate especially solo travel this time. The hostel held other activities, I joined their charged 森林營地. The fee is reasonable and the quality of the tour is high. The host explained about the nature in the tour, and lunch is like a feast. The tour is suitable for all ages provided you like or wanna exploring the nature. The hosts are really concerning us, heartfelt thanks to all of them."
