I recently spent 3 nights at The Fountain Inn and would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, the food of high quality and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. I am planning to return to The Fountain Inn with friends in the near future to explore the local area.

Great short break
As soon as you walk through the door you can sense that your stay is going to be an enjoyable one. Greeted with a friendly smile we were taken to our room through clean and tidy corridors. Nice room clean and tidy. We liked the food and the choice of ales very good. WiFi good at the Inn, but if you go outside no service at all. Lots of interesting local history around the walls to be perused. Visited several local attractions in the wonderful forest of dean.

The staff were very friendly. I was escorted to my room, which was a nice touch, non of the usual directions from staff who know the place and aren’t bothered if you spend 20 minutes looking for your room. The room was very spacious with 2 large windows. Every thing was very clean and attention paid to little details like picking your own options for Breakfast. Very comfortable bed and I had a good nights sleep. I would thoroughly recommend The Fountain Inn and I will be saying there again.
