Beautiful resort! Loved the feel of the enclosed courtyard area with the pool, hot tubs, firepit sitting areas and grilling areas, and landscaped shaded walking paths, all surrounded by the buildings. HUGE space but with a very cozy feel to it. Apartments with balconies overlooking the courtyard gave it a village atmosphere. Staff is incredibly polite. Love it here. Definitely worth coming back!

The surrounding construction of the new gondola continues. I called ahead to better understand what else might affect our stay. Everything went well with our 3-nights. The hotel was staff was excellent. Matt-the-valet was great answering my impromptu questions. The spacious one-bedroom suite was clean and all worked: jacuzzi, chromecast from iPhone to TV, kitchen appliances, etc. This hotel was base camp to explore other Northern Utah sites.

There was much to say about the stay and accommodations at Sunrise Lodge. Including the location which is excellent. The renovations seem to be great and were noticed with some new furniture and kitchen accommodations. New grills were great to have a meal at "home". The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful when ask. The one drawback that made it a 4 star was the pool area. There is NO ability to walk between lounge chairs and the main pool. So much space was left on other side that seemed waste space that is not used. Some poor planning could cause possible issue with guest. There would need to be some redesign but could be worth the investment over a possible liability. We also had all 3 of the unit safes (3BDRM) not working; strange all were not working properly. It was not a big deal and was rectified right away. In all, would consider staying here again through HGVC.

The resort is nice and the location is great. They are understaffed and have the same person running front desk, valet, and concierge. We were forced to valet park, even though this was not advertised. They said the garage was under maintenance. If they were able to park our cars there, I’m sure we were perfectly capable of it also. I believe it was all about $$. The unit above us was very noisy during the day with a lot of banging around. Said they were renting the unit above us on a daily basis and it was housekeeping (doubtful, it was really loud for hours). After day one we asked to be moved elsewhere and were told that they would not accommodate us because we were RCI members and not Hilton owners. Keep in mind the resort was less than 50% full at this time. It is off-season. They were actually haughty about it. The resort itself is beautiful but do not expect to get treated well unless you are a Hilton owner.

We went during the off season so much of the sight seeing activities are closed. We still took full advantage of the resort, having coffee on the patio and utilizing the hot tub and fire pit at night. If you are planning on staying a while definitely go to the grocery. If you go up to town to eat, it is very expensive. The rooms are lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back.
