Very nice inn, historical, beautifully decorated and the porch has plenty of rocking chairs for a pleasant evening. Great breakfast! The trains....well, I love trains but most of them must blow their horns as they reach the inn, so a front-facing room is going to be impacted at night. I'd suggest ear plugs, or take a room facing the rear. Wasn't awful, but if you weren't prepared for this, it could negatively impact your stay.

Beautiful old inn like a historical museum! The collections inside are amazing. Gorgeous Victorian furniture! We stayed in the Joy suite with more than ample room. We did hear the train in the middle of the night but it didn't disturb us too much. In the morning we walked around the park next door and saw the remains of Bell's Tavern. Breakfast was very good and the hosts were friendly. Would definitely recommend for history lovers!

The place is beautiful on the outside and easy to locate. That is about all I can say that is good about it. The decor was very overdone and cluttered everywhere you went. The owner was snarky when we showed up at 5pm on a Friday, stating, "you must be the stragglers", and then kept talking for 15 minutes about how she did an ancestry on her DNA and she thinks she's related to my husband, making us a little uncomfortable. When running into her later that night, she was a bit tipsy and chatty again. The next morning we left to go hiking early and put the Do Not Disturb hanger on our door, but when we returned, it was gone and our room had been cleaned, and our stuff had been moved around. We immediately packed our stuff and left to find a hotel in a larger town so we could be treated with some respect. This is a great place to go if you want to feel like you are staying with your overbearing Mom. I was highly disappointed that the interactions we had with the owner were so uncomfortable, and she has issues reading the room with us.

Great hotel except for the train. Our room was an odd number facing front and we heard the train at 9 and 11 PM and early AM. Our daughter in an even number room facing back did not. Nice decor and owner. Enjoyed the little touches. We will be back.

Stayed here one night while traveling through Kentucky and loved it. We stayed in the Mentz room, it was spacious and clean. The house is beautiful and Karin was great. The grounds were immaculate, and the porch was nice. The breakfast was good, we would stay here again if traveling through.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the grand Victorian hotel. The hotel has been lovingly updated keeping a historical look with modern comforts. Breakfast was great and filling. Karen is a wealth of knowledge. There is lots of parking even for trailers and rvs. The train is close but is charming with no horn blowing.

-200 Terrible!! The Inn was run down it looked nothing like what is shown on the website. You need to quit Igor them. It was so bad we didn’t even stay we lost our money but learned a valuable lesson I guess. May not book through your Company again.

Interesting refurbished old Railway hotel. I enjoyed the historic aspect of this hotel. Absolutely loved when the train rolled by, so exciting and just felt like I had gone back in time. Might be loud for some, but I loved it. Rooms are satisfactory, a bit crowded and could use some new bedding in my opinion. The dining room is quite grand and the drink options are nice. The breakfast was nothing original, but it was ok. Nice place to stay and it has much potential to be grand.
