The Guesthouse at Rosecrest Farm

The Guesthouse at Rosecrest Farm is a special experience. Amazing views of the thoroughbred horses with their newly born foals along with the thoroughbred retirees in beautiful Paris Kentucky. Guests are invited to walk around the farm and can even give the retirees a treat. Breakfast is delicious and should not be missed! The accommodations are lovely and very comfortable.

I took my girlfriend to Rosecrest to fulfill her dream of seeing and touching the horses of the racing industry. We stayed in the Derby Suite and it was a great 4 days for us. Lyra was wonderful and took us to the training track with her to watch the horses train just a few feet away, what an experience! She treated us like family with a great breakfast each morning and we enjoyed walking the ranch and petting the horses each day. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evenings until sunset.

Beautiful farm.....wonderful people (especially Chuck and Lyra) .....will be going back for sure! Be sure to get there in time to get a tour of the facilities. The tours are remarkable as are the horses... both young and old....they all love peppermints but only gave them to the retired horses.

This is our second trip to Rosecrest Farms. This time we joined our friends who originally suggested Rosecrest Farms to us after they were there 10 years ago. It's a beautiful setting, the cottage with our rooms and breakfast rooms are perfectly decorated, there is a front and a back porch with amazing views. Lyra and Teresa are wonderful hosts, and her sister Linda, who cooks sometime, is a joy to talk to. Being able to meet up close with the horses is such a treat too. We will be back again, and again.

This Trip to KY Horse Country was a last minute idea. It was made fast and I nor my daughter wanted to stay at a run of the mill hotel. We wanted peace and quiet, serene, sitting on the front or back porch and watching the sunset, gazing at the mares and foals & horses in the beautiful bluegrass pastures. It was centralized for what we wanted to see this trip. The house was clean and neat and very comfortable. Lyra and Theresa were exceptional hosts. We walked the property and got a tour of the farm. Lyra made breakfast much better than we could get at hotel. Ask for the french toast!!! She was gracious to accommodate our food sensitivities. Just make sure you add it on your reservation. So much fun and very enjoyable.

The farm was beautiful and included a special tour where we were able to feed the horses and see future Derby hopefuls. The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the owner and staff were extremely hospitable. It was next door to Claiborne Farm as well!
