We stayed here from June 17-24. Of our 3 week trip, this was by far the best lodging we had! Owners Lieke and Mikael are very involved and attentive, but in a respectful of your space way. Staff is friendly and sweet. We stayed in Persian cabin 2, and it’s very cute. Beds were most comfy here and the meals and drinks were awesome! We even had 3 geckos (they eat bugs and keep their distance) the kids named Larry, Baby Joe, and Squishy. ❤️ The days were beautiful (even in the rainy season) and Lieke knows all the good spots to check out.

Cet établissement a bonne réputation dans le secteur et les avis que nous avions trouvés sont bons, mais nous n'avons pas osé y allé car lors de notre arrivée à Playa Junquillal le mardi 22 avril 2025, notre hôte nous a informés que la veille, les clients avaient étaient attaqués et ligotées par des personnes armées. Il serait nécessaire que l'établissement démente cette information si elle n'est pas véridique. Nous serions heureux d'y venir une prochaine fois. Merci

We found the owners to be very helpful including what to do in the area and even lending us equipment to go snorkeling and showing us on a map the very best places to see beautiful fish.
The food was excellent, in fact as good as any of the restaurants on our entire trip!
Our room was very comfortable and the pool and public areas very well maintained.
We really liked the owners, Leike and Michael, and enjoyed our conversations with them both. They have worked very hard to build their dream and we loved our stay.

We moved to this lodge after a night at another extremely disappointing location. Wonderful hosts, fabulous food, and very comfortable lodging. Many pleasant conversations with other travelers from all over the world. Highly recommend this lodge. Quiet area with a beautiful beach. Don't miss it when visiting Costa Rica.

What a wonderful boutique style hotel. Room was fantastic and food was out of this world. Great service and very friendly staff. Clean pool and surroundings of the property. Would definitely go back for a much longer staff, highly recommended.
