l like that the resort was not too far from things to do for my first time in Arizona. Especially, the commute from the airport. Very convenient location. The staff and service was amazing. Cleanliness superb, couple of dining options available & bottled water to stay hydrated always offered & readily available. Highly recommend dinner at Hearth 61. The cabana suites do not have tubs. Stand up shower with benches only. The rooms are immaculate and very well kept. High ceilings & beautiful decor all over. Beds, pillows and linen super comfy. Mini bar stocked with needs. I'm not a big fan of most hotel toiletries but the body wash, shampoo/conditioner and lotion was EVERYTHING!!!! I never used mine the entire trip. That says a lot. This resort does offer massages but does not have a spa. The price is not worth it for a massage only, honestly. I went to The Phoenician Spa for a massage instead and had so much more available to me for the same price. Access to spa tubs, suanas, showers, relaxation beds, water & snacks, rooftop pool, etc. until closing. If Mountain Shadows Resort had a spa on their resort, definitely would be a 5 for me. I would give a 4.5 if I could. Beautiful views.

Mountain Shadow exceeded our expectations. After roughing it for a week while rafting the Colorado River, we were pampered in the best ways possible. From the beautifully landscaped property to the the delicious meals and comfy rooms, this was a perfect ending to our trip!

My hubby found this hotel 6/7 years ago and apart from Covid we’ve returned every year since. We’ve tried many hotels in the Scottsdale area over the last 17 years but this one is by far the best……. Each year we visit has gradually extended and has become a 6-7 week vacation. We book a studio apartment which has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer ( which for the length of vacation I need it). Set in Paradise Valley overlooking Camel Back Mountain the views are breathtaking. There’s a 18 hole par three golf course (Short Course) and a lovely bar called Rusty’s which do thee best Cob salad and Chicken Caesar wrap. It offers great welcoming service from the front desk , the bell men, bar staff and pool staff Now planning our 2026 vacation and would highly recommend this hotel..

Our check-in with Tami was friendly and expeditious giving us a patient explanation of the amenities. Our service from Shay at rusty's was top-notch and she went out of her way to accommodate us and Brendan was so sweet he checked on us multiple times at the pool. The entire experience was amazing.

Just blown away by this property! My husband and I stayed over July 4th weekend. We requested a garden room with. View and got what might be the best ‘regular’ room on property. Gorgeous views of Camelback Mountain. Service was just fabulous from checkin to pool side and everywhere in between. Property is perfectly manicured and rooms spotless. Fireworks nearby perfectly viewable from our private wrap around balcony. Food was amazing at each restroom and room service. My husband originally did not think it looked very impressive on the website but was equally impressed. Absolutely would stay again.

We had the best poolside experience! The setting was serene and perfect for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. We also really enjoyed the unconventional musical combo of DJ + live Saxophonist, which created an upbeat but chill vibe. But what made the day exceptional was the outstanding service from Sandra. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. From refreshing drinks to thoughtful recommendations, her hospitality added that extra touch of excellence to an already beautiful setting. Can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely love this hotel. From the moment we walked in the service has been amazing. The food at the the citizen club is fire. It’s my wife’s birthday and they treated us so well. Sandra at the pool was so attentive. She came by before every drink was empty. 10/10 experience.
