J’ai adoré mon séjour au Fare Maheata ! Je dormais dans le dortoir qui est très chaleureux. Le lit est très confortable. Une serviette de douche est fournie ce qui est très pratique. L’hôtel a une très belle vue sur la lagon et une plage privée. Il est très bien situé, proche d’une plage publique et de la baie d’Opunohu dans laquelle on peut faire du snorkeling pour voir requins, raies et tortues ! Le personnel est ultra attentionné et donne de bons conseils. Je recommande à 100% et je reviendrai ici si je reviens à Moorea !

Do not stay in a shared dormitory
Only stay here if you are truly on a budget and want to share everything with other guests. The shared dormitory is full with mosquitoes, has no air conditioning. Their bookings are non refundable for a reason. The property had a nice view though.

Great little spot
Amazing location and very comfortable bed. I suggest you bring your own pillow. Very, very basic place. Minimal breakfast but still nice. Best to have a car if you stay here. Staff was very friendly and nice.

This is my second visit to this idyllic spot in Moorea. A family run group of budget rustic cottages on the lagoon next door to the Hilton. The onsite restaurant serves very high quality food and a simple breakfast is included. The hotel sits oceanfront on a beautiful area of the lagoon with rays, sharks and fish cruising by all day. Air conditioned rooms which is rare in Tahiti and kayaks included, good for family on a budget.

This was a good place to stay for a couple nights. Accommodations are basic but clean, with a kitchenette and fridge. The family that runs the pension is very nice, and I particularly enjoyed having breakfast each morning on the little beach. Well located for sightseeing, and I’d definitely stay here again.

Hello, Extremely disappointed with our stay. We wanted to book a nice place with my wife. The photos were seductive for sure, but the reality is quite different. When we arrived there, we had the impression of being a clear disturbance. Speaking of photos...the beach is beautiful yes, only from Friday to Monday. Full of animal excrement when we arrived and cleaned only for the weekend, when there are more tourists... We thought we would have a room to ourselves (booking a pitch with a maximum of 2 people), ultimately we were in a dormitory that could accommodate up to 12 people I would say (2 per bed)... The bedding was certainly clean but the comfort, thanks to the back pain! Shared shower and sanitary facilities without any maintenance. Clearly I didn't take my shoes off for a single minute. In 4 days and 3 nights, not once was cleaning done, whether in the "room" or the bathrooms. Did you ask for wifi? You won't get any. Don't expect any information either, there is never anyone. Besides, the restaurant was closed the entire time of our stay, so manage to eat. In short, the “good” reviews mainly concern the restoration part in the end. As they say: once, not twice! The only positive point is that we met a young person in the same situation who was super nice!
