The room was so huge that I felt like I suddenly became a rich person. It was so big that it was hard to imagine. We were the only family in the whole hotel. All the customer service staff, about 20 people or so, were around us. The service was good. The restaurant prepared various foods according to the needs of the guests, and the desserts were great, too. It was just a little lonely!

The hotel only has a few villas and no guest rooms, so there are not many people in the entire resort. My family lives in a pool villa, and a little further from the pool is the beach. It was very comfortable to sit on the beach bed outside and look at the sea view. The hotel provides three meals a day, but the quality is quite good, and dinner is different every day. There are coconut trees planted in the hotel, and we packed fresh coconut juice back to the room for free every day to drink, basically drinking it as water. The hotel is on the edge of Tiga Island, but my phone did not receive a signal. It may be a phone card problem, so I can only rely on the hotel WiFi to access the Internet. However, there is no WiFi signal in the villa. Only the lobby, restaurant, and pool bar can provide it. Basically You can get away from the hustle and bustle and have a peaceful vacation. The pier where the hotel shuttle boat is located is relatively far from Kota Kinabalu City. Our family chartered a car and took about two hours. There is a section of road in the middle that is still under construction and the road condition is relatively poor. The shuttle boat is parked at the pier of the nature reserve patrol team. After arriving, talk to the hotel manager to arrange for an early boat pick-up.

The room was very good, the service was very good, and the environment was also very good. Especially Uncle Kenneth. The children were very happy. We also saw the rainbow in the sunset.

Just had the most incredible six nights at Borneo Eagle Resort, the service was just superb, the staff made our stay amazing, they could not do enough for us whether it was anticipating our needs or remembering exactly what we liked. It is a very remote resort but the benefits of that is that there are not thousands of tourists around and you get true relaxation and Tranquility. the food is ordered in advance and the chef was really accommodating to changes and menu tweaks, he managed to cook brilliant cuisine from every single continent! The villas were beautiful and the the trips were really good fun thanks to Shafiq. Kenneth at the bar was brilliant and so good with the kids and cocktails!! The Wi-Fi was horrific though so don’t plan on doing any work whilst you’re there, we never had it in the room at any time and only at the restaurant for short periods, Afnan the manager had to take us down the jetty and he let us use his own private phone at one point just to get a signal. They really tried to help whenever we had a problem with anything whether it was the Wi-Fi or the mosquitoes!! The main thing for the kids to do was the trips and playing in the pool which was so huge that they actually went paddle boarding in it every day. I highly recommend this resort if you want to be in a beautiful environment with incredible staff and fantastic food and get away from the crowds!!

I started with concerns as there were few reviews about the pool villa. It's difficult because the exact location of the ferry is not indicated. I was able to relax comfortably at the accommodation I arrived at thanks to the friendly staff. I liked the spacious rooms and private garden. Because it is an island, you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Meals are provided in sufficient quantities for each meal, and all drinks, except alcohol, are refillable. Considering the cost, there may be better options, but this is the most private pool villa in Kota Kinabalu. I praise the friendly staff.

The resort is beautifully situated and spaciously laid out. There are 14 villas; we rented a Cral Villa. The villa was wonderful at first glance, very large and beautifully furnished. All essential amenities were available (AC, refrigerator, two TVs, etc.). First impression - great. There are a wide range of leisure activities, a very large pool, gym, etc. However, many of them require a fee. The restaurant is simply but stylishly decorated; the lounge is rather bland. The food is quite good, but individualized due to the given situation (see below). The staff was very friendly and helpful! However: - the resort is very dated, and many things are in dire need of renovation. For example: dozens of small pool tiles have fallen out, some of them lying on the bottom of the pool. In the villa, there is significant mold and rust, etc. (see pictures). Apparently, this has been recognized, and renovations were underway in many places. The biggest problem was housekeeping. The toilets weren't cleaned once in three and a half days! The same applies to the bathroom fixtures. There was neither soap nor a towel in the guest restroom. This is just one example of the deficiencies. There's a lot to be done.

Séjour parfait Une établissement unique à Bornéo, situé sur une île magnifique, loin de la foule. L’équipe a été parfaite, les repas délicieux, et les activités proposées sont très bien organisées.

Unfortunately, there are rats in the bungalow at night that come in through a niche near the sliding door. Even live traps didn't help - on the "best" night, there were 7 rats in it. The rats also roam the restaurant. There is also erosion that could have been repaired long ago if the will had been there. The beach is full of flotsam and jetsam. The pool is only half full of salt water. The shampoo (etc.) bottles are made of glass (!) and if one breaks, you have to pay 52€ for it - an outrage. +++ The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating :-) :-) :-) The pool villa is very large, the bed very comfortable. The view is great, the pool has salt water again. The food is delicious. +++ We left a day earlier than planned because of the rats, and the management didn't respond to our email - extremely inappropriate for such an expensive resort. Communication is generally halting. Overall, disappointing, especially with the way the management treats its guests!!
