Staying in Pangkor Laut Resort was truly memorable. The resort was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. The combination of luxury and nature was what drew me to come here and spend a short weekend getaway. It offers a serene environment to relax on a private island and even take on a little adventure such as tracking through a rainforest.
Overall I find Pangkor Laut Resort, a great place to unwind, destress and enjoy nature.
If you are looking for extreme sports, crowds and a place to stimulate your senses, Pangkor Laut Resort is not for you. And that is why I love my stay here, nothing but a piece of paradise, calm surroundings and pampering oneself.

The hotel's spa is very unique and has a sense of ritual. See Figure 1. You have to go through the "Water Curtain Cave".
Emerald Bay is beautiful and harmonious.
There are two swimming pools. The pool on the spa village side is less crowded.
You can participate in free horizontal exercises in the morning.
The speedboat to and from the island is charged extra.

Pangkor Laut was nice, the resort is quite dated and a bit old. Service had much to be desired as it isn’t the best. Food was great at Uncle Lims and Feast Village. The drinks from happy hour was really bad! I ordered one cocktail and it was terrible, they should really do something about their happy hour drinks.

Been to PLR many times before. I usually book directly, but Trip.com had the best deal this time for my dates. But do consider that you also have to pay for the return boat transport (RM172.80 nett for one person as of Nov 2024) if you don't book direct with PLR. The Garden Villa is the entry level room, but is really comfortable and is close to nearly all of the facilities. Service is generally good in PLR, and food is fairly decent - expensive, but that's the cost of holidaying on a private island. The beach at Emerald Bay and the treatments at the Spa Village are the main attractions of PLR for me. This is really a place for a relaxing beach holiday, so don't expect much night entertainment - there is a karaoke room you can book though, as well as a games room with billiards and foosball, and a small movie room with Netflix.
