By the Sea Resort - Panama City Beach

The location was perfect. BUT, at check in, I noticed the person seemed to be extremely young- as if he was a kid. Then after FINALLY finding our room, my son used the toilet and it clogged with very minimal paper. It flooded the entire bathroom. I called for a plunger, towels and cleaning products in which after waiting 45 minutes for finally decided to go to the nearest DG and purchase my own stuff. When I called down to the desk to ask them what the hold up was, I was told “nobody has been there yet?” So I said not to worry and I’ll get the situation handled myself. The room was DISGUSTING. Black mold everywhere. There was a wig in one of the drawers to the dresser. Pulling the sheets back there was all different types of “hair bunnies”. The hot tub did not work. The pool and spa both were dirty, and had black mold. I was on the first floor- was given no direction on how to locate the room- when darkness hit, there was very limited lighting and had an extremely eerie feeling. Would not recommend, especially if staying with children. If you ask me, the whole place really needs to be shut down.

Wish I had read all the horrible reviews before booking. Was trying to save some money. I knew the minute we walked into the lobby that it was a mistake. Filthy doesn't even describe it. Worst smell ever. Got room keys and the elevator was so nasty dirty. it was bumping around so much I wonder when it was last inspected. When we got to the "room" I was dumbfounded. It was so dirty. I refused to even walik on the floor without my shoes on. There was black mold in the bedroom area. The picture on the wall in the bathroom was broken with shards of glass sticking out. The shower hadn't been cleaned in forever. We arrived very late on a Thursday am. We had checked out by 9am on the Friday am and just drove down the road to find anything else. We were welcomed at the Springhill Suites and it was lovely. I agree with another reviewer. Tear this rat hole down and start over. NEVER stay here.

this place is embarrassingly nasty roaches in the room. AC doesn’t work. The pool and hot tub is nasty. The hot tub doesn’t work and it smells.
