Club Wyndham Panama City Beach

We arrived by car maybe 2 hours early for check in. Staff at the front desk seemed confused and all they could suggest was find a bar that was open . We found our way to the south pool and bar where the barman was quite rude and poured very short measures (and then asks for a tip !). Eventfully we got room details and found our nice spacious room floor 16 good sea view. There are 8 elevators in the south building and only 6 worked to start with, joined by a 7th half way through our week. These are very busy especially when people arrive and depart with luggage. There are no service elevators so housekeeping staff also use them. Its also the only direct way to the beach so as you can imagine, you can wait up to 30 minutes to leave your floor. Not the best Club Wyndham venue I have stayed in. I have done family / beach locations before but never seen such elevator chaos and met such rude staff. North building pool was better and nearby shops and restaurants are are fabulous. And the beach is great (watch out for the rip tides)

This is a fabulous resort. The view, the location, the beach, the unit, etc. The only reason I removed a star is because of the amount you have to walk between the parking lot and the resort. You have to take an elevator to get to the third floor in the parking building, than walk through the walkway over the street, then take an elevator or escalator to get to the ground floor, then take another elevator to get to your unit. If you are injured or have reduced mobility, that could be a problem. We got used to it. They do supply carts for your luggage/groceries. The other thing is that the room on the street side is very noisy, so a light sleeper would probably have a problem sleeping there. We were on the 7th floor, and we could hear motorcycles and noisy cars go by. The rest of the unit was very quiet!

Come visit this place if you want a gorgeous view of the vibrant Blue Waters of the Panama City Beach off your balcony on an oceanfront property. They have an outside pool that's heated it appears. This place would not be friendly for those who said disability in a wheelchair as far as getting on and off the beach goes it's requiring stairs from the property. In order to get from the parking garage to your room you have to go down an escalator or an elevator to the main floor then to go to another elevator to go up to the room area and we were there with only two out of four elevators open. Would have been rated five star if there wasn't mold in our shower and our room door battery died so we had no access to our room and had to walk all the way to lobby to get ahold of someone bc no phone number on google app to call when trying to look it up. Thankfully they fixed it once we finally got someone to come. We also had a live cockroach experience and had a wait a while for someone to spray the room. Hairdryer was sticky old and burnt like. It was so nice having two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a full kitchenette to be able to live life comfortably and a pull-out couch. Also not a five-star because the products they provide for toiletries are poisonous full of chemicals and fragrances from the lovely Kenneth Cole brand which is not healthy. Wyndham used to have quality healthy products and now even that is going down the drain. The location and view provided thanks to mother nature keeps it 4 stars. I would come back but bring your own toiletries (shampoo conditioner body wash and hand soap, lotion) and dish soap that are not toxic for you.

Room and hallways need renovations!

First of all shame on ******* for putting a time share trip on their site without notice and sending us into that mess. Without further ado: 1) I sent a message through ******* to the Club Wyndham to advise my spouse is handicapped. No Response! Found a number and called front desk the day prior to leaving home and was advise rooms were available 1st come 1st serve. I advised them that as long as there was an elevator, floor level was of no concern, but more importantly we requested a room close to the the elevator so she didn't have far to go to exit. In short, assignment was1st floor about the length of a football field to the elevator. 2) No, it didn't end there! They had the front doors to the building we stayed in closed off. I planned on being able to retrieve vehicle and pick her up at the entrance when we came and went during the week. The only way my wife (She has a hereditary bone deterioration disease with her pelvis bone being in two pieces and 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement) could leave was to walk about 100 yards to the elevator go up to level 3, walk the skywalk across the street and out into the parking garage. As with all parking garages your at the mercy of availability. There are numerous handicap parking, but none were ever available. so, not enough handicap parking if needed. 3) No mention of a time share trap once you get there. At check (Oh,1500 character limit. I guess you are not really interested in a real review) Folks, don't!
