Ocean Ritz by Panhandle Getaways

Worst unit we have ever stayed in. The 1st day I opened a closet (assuming it was the stacked washer and dryer) and the door fell on top of my head. Nothing saying do not open. The bathroom door leading to the washer and dryer would not close or look. Balcony door in living room would not stay closed and the handle eventually broke. The front door would not lock properly. The bunk bathroom would not close or lock. Mold all in the washer, the dryer would have to run for 4 hours to dry a small load. 5 total roaches and 2 spider (have videos and documentation of it all) no vacuum cleaner or adult size broom. We contacted management and they told us they would get someone up there asap. Later that afternoon we walked in to a vacuum cleaner. Never saw anyone. The next day we called again, they sent someone to spray. No one ever showed up to fix and issues. We continued to find roaches. All balcony furniture was filthy, broken and had mildew all over it. I would not suggest this unit to anyone!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!

Honestly the worst place I’ve stayed and that’s saying a lot. It begins with the parking. It’s very tight and allows generally for one car. The condo had space for 11-13. We had 3 vehicles. Overflow parking is a nightmare too since it’s right across from the public beach access. Often there is no space available. We’ve stayed at ocean ritz before and just the parking situation is enough to make you nuts and we swore we’d never go back. It was the only place big enough available by the time we looked this year. I had to pay off a tow truck driver to not tow the car while we were unloading. This place has like 16 to 18 floors and 3 condos per floor with one space they declare as loading zone. The designer was clearly a mathematical genius. My husband got a ticket for parking in overflow after he purchased a parking pass for the week. And all of that is before you get into the disgusting condo. Roaches were the #1 issue. Filthy. If someone swept before we got there they did a bad job. I’m sure no one mopped or sanitized anything. Tub jets mildew laden. Shower curtain mildewy. Dust so thick on top of a fan I didn’t want to turn it on, even though the AC worked so poorly, we really needed it. Under and behind all the furniture was so dirty it looked like it hadn’t really been cleaned in months. Dirty. Not just dusty. The patio furniture was broken. The washer and dryer weren’t working right so it took hours of constant monitoring to get anything dry. The oven wasn’t working right. It wouldn’t get up to the cooking temperature. One of the TVs didn’t work. Furniture knobs off, closet door hanging off track. Sticky inside cabinets The patio door wouldn’t stay closed without locking from the inside, which was a pain, especially since the ac wasn’t cooling well. Very small pool for the size of the building. All of this, and I’m sure I’m missing things. When we called emerald coast destinations, they first acted like these were new issues and shocked. After the first call where we told them that previous reviews had mentioned many is these things so they were letting, they ignored the calls over and over. Ultimately they sent someone with a can of bug spray. That was it. Laughable if it wasn’t so disgusting. They made zero attempts to address any other issues. Stay dates 7/3-7/9/22. Do yourself a favor and find a different location.

Where to begin - Parking is a joke! They advertised “over flow parking” which consisted of 10 parking spot across from the condo and there are never any spots available. Trucks do not fit in the garage, parking in the public lot is your only option and an added expense. If you move your car from the assigned space chances are someone else will park in your spot. Arrived to the condo and Vacasa sent the wrong access code. Safety lock on the access door to the condo is broken Curtain rod mounting bracket to the wall was broken. Curtains were filthy at the bottom. Air conditioner did not cool the condo below 74 - maintenance was called and came in a responsible time. Mattress cover to the king bed was stained (gross) The condo Floors were filthy! My grandsons ( who is crawling) legs were black! My son in-law spent 1.5 hours cleaning the floors so his baby could crawl around. Repeatedly texted - emailed Vacasa about the condition of the condo and their response was to drop off a mop, no cleaning products. Chairs on the deck were wooden, old and very uncomfortable with no cushions. Vacasa advertised a fully stocked kitchen - Food was stuck on plates & glasses (the reason- the dishwasher does not clean dishes) Only 4 forks for a family of 6 No frying pans (someone dropped off frying pans) Peeler is dull and doesn’t work Leak under the kitchen sink Black Mold in a bathroom King bed - flat queen sheet on the mattress - no king sheets No beach chairs No beach towels as advertised A neighboring condo continued to smoke ********/ pot on the balcony and restricted our use unless we wanted to get high! Contacted Vacasa - no response Patrons of the Ocean Ritz continued to blast music at the pool, texted Vacasa about noise ordinance and was told to call the home owners association. We were on the 6th floor and heard the music loud and clear on the balcony. Elevators were terribly slow. Location was great. On the beach, Near restaurants, Walmart. Great fireworks show

The view was great couldn’t ask for a better view it accommodated all 10 of us comfortably. Walking distance to a lot of stuff. The bad bedroom door didn’t latch shut bath tub jets didn’t work no toaster. Washer was moldy. Parking garage ****** had a 12 passenger van that it did not accommodate so had to park in overflow. When overflow is full had to park in public lot which costs money. They also didn’t leave enough trash bags etc. I paid 2600.00 to stay here i suggest if you pay that much go somewhere else if you are going to pay that much. Also cops were called because a water bottle was left on balcony and fell into pool area and the owner was kinda rude. Instead of coming to me get panama city police involved. I had 8 kids. So stay somewhere else for the money.
