Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort by Southern Vacation Rentals

The condo was made for midgets. It was also dirty and dingy and old. Having dust and dirt built up on the baseboards is nasty. I let ******* and southern vacation rentals know and no one seemed to care. I suggest never book with either of them and to not expect much from edgewater anymore

Lovely view, but many issues. The view was stunning and the condo was beautifully decorated. We had issues with the appliances not working appropriately (dishwasher didn’t work at all, microwave was super finicky, freezer had a leak, hvac was locked). It was VERY warm in the unit since we weren’t able to use the AC. We had incorrect check-in instructions and very little information for use of amenities (no property map). Thankfully, housekeeping was able to bring the missing linens. It sort of makes me wonder if this unit has ever been rented before…

Absolutely beautiful condo!! Loved the view, the location, the easy beach access, the onsite restaurant and the pools.

Rundown furniture and coffee maker not working. Not a high end resort. Need to update furniture. Faux leather sofa looks horrible. Other than that a great view beautiful beach

The vibe was very friendly, also children friendly. Very spacious area and welcoming

Aside from the amazing location of the resort, the only positive thing I can say about room 107 in Tower 1 was that it was clean and bug free. Otherwise, we were not pleased with our accommodations at all. For reference, we booked through Southern Vacation Rentals. Here’s the list of things we had issues with: 1. The footboard was not attached to the king bed, it was shoved under the bed. 2. The table pictured in the living room was not there. We found it in the master bedroom closet - sans the glass top (we assume it got broken at some point). It took up space, making part of the closed unusable. 3. The sofa and the loveseat were heavily stained. We covered it with sheets. 4. The was no remote for the TV in the living room, so we wouldn’t watch it. 5. The lighting was very poor, and many of the switches found throughout didn’t seem to do anything. 6. Some of the knobs on the bedroom furniture were missing or sticking out partially. 7. The headboard of the king bed was loose and kept banging the wall. We had to put something behind it to cushion it. 8. When we arrived, we discovered that the provided security code for the room was incorrect. We had to call and get a new one. 9. Some of the outlets didn’t work. 10. The furniture is WAY OLDER and worn than it appears in the photos. DON’T TRUST THE PHOTOS. We called and reported the above concerns and we were told that someone would be out to “do repairs”. No one ever came. We were also told that any sort of consideration for a refund could only happen after checkout. We spent nearly $3,000 for a one week stay. We will not be returning.
