Best. boutique hotel in the beach. Angel, Kristin, Moriah and Nadine will always be stars in my sky. Thank you for a paradise during the hardest time of my life. Thanks to Errol! The sands are sugar white with aqua crystal clear water. Paradise.

We stayed in the penthouse. The floors were disgusting, the furniture hasn’t been upgraded since the 80’s and is falling apart. There were cockroaches all over the room. We had to tear the beds apart to make sure we weren’t sleeping with any. We took a couple of them to the front desk to prove they were all over the room and to ask for sticky traps. We were told those were inhumane but they offered to spray. We continued to have them throughout the trip. The hot tub was broken the entire trip. The bar was undergoing renovation and was closed. My family has been coming for almost 20 years and we will never be back.

A truly excellent stay Pretty cool that we got to spend our 3rd anniversary at the same place that we spent our honeymoon as a bonus they put us in the same room . The Flamingo isn't the nicest place but the room and property is clean, the air conditioning will allow for the habitation of penguins and polar bears and there's plenty of hot water in the shower and great customer service. Until next time! Thanks for a great trip!

We got a upgrade the day before departure. Check in was nice and friendly. Went up to our room 256. First thing our room was right in front of the elevator. Upon entering the stench of musty and mold filled the air. Windows were so dirty the view was blurry. Carpet so dirty it was black, sofa was nasty with stains and mold. Mold in the shower and bathroom door was peeling. Reported the sofa and was told it is just stains. Years ago this was the best place to stay. Never ever again for me and family. Just nasty.

This place has spiraled to a nasty filthy hotel in record time. We’ve been staying at the Flamingo for well over 25 years. I knew the Lancaster family had sold out and I figured the new owners would keep it up. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I am not a germaphobe or neat freak, but I don’t like filth. We were in the tower and the beach view was fantastic - as always. From there it went downhill! I don’t think the floors have been mopped in a long, long time. My granddaughters walked in their socks from the bathroom to the bed and their socks were black. The stove was filthy. The baseboards were filthy. The walls were filthy. There was mold everywhere. There was a wad of hair in the bathroom floor. Needless to say, we will never be back to the Flamingo! For $300 a night they could have at least picked up the wad of hair and mopped the floor. Oh…. no ice, no iron, no blow dryer - none of the typical room amenities. No pool towels and they close the pool at 10 pm on weekends.

Nice hotel. Stayed in the towers. Clean and great view. Parking was good for us. The room stayed nice and cold during the heat wave with the dual ac systems. Some of the negative reviews are not accurate. We had a nice time. Would stay agin with no problem.

On vacation to attend Seabreeze Jazz Festival, May 25-28. Received a call from front desk personnel to upgrade room while driving from North Carolina with room with stove, refrigerator and sink. Room 515. The end corner was recommended. Our arrival time to the hotel was close to midnight central standard time. My daughter and I became excited to receive an upgrade. The excitement ended upon opening the door and entering the room with an overwhelming strong musky and mildew smell. Which took my breath away. I immediately opened the door to the balcony for a flow of air to flow through the room with the front door propped open. The fan was turned on. The bathroom vent was turned. Air fresher and body sprayed was sprayed all over the entire room. I had to sit on the balcony to breathe after our 10 hour drive from North Carolina. I do want to point out the room was CLEAN. I had to wear a mask to remain in the room and breathe without gagging breathing the musky and mildew smell. The next day my daughter went to the office to inform the office personnel of the smell we had to endure. To make a long story short: from the manager informed us someone was going to check to room for the smell while we were out eating lunch. From the discussion of the smell after our return, the smell was due to the air conditioner turned off and the hotel location near the beach was the reason for the smell. We were told upon our return if the smell was still in the room, we would transferred to another room. Due to the festival’s time schedule we did not have the time to wait for an hour for another room be cleaned and prepared to switch and move all our personal items to be moved. My daughter was told once we returned from the festival our new room would be available. This did not happen. We returned from the festival after the last musical guest after 11:00. The late night desk personnel had no knowledge of what we were told earlier before we left for the festival. There were no notes to share with her from the manager, to inform her of the room we were promised to receive upon our return from the festival. We stood in office and was told “there are not any other rooms available to move to”. The entire hotel was full. The night personnel did suggest to remove the filters from the air conditioners. There is air conditioner near the door and the bed. The other is the area where the table and chairs near the window. We removed the filters. I discovered the air conditioner near the first bed was the overwhelming smell we both endured the entire time from Wednesday night to Monday morning. Due to Seabreeze festival’s itinerary, we were out all day until our return late after 10:30 p.m. The notion of the room location being near the beach has no significance to our experience. We have been to Myrtle Beach near the beach. Our room was clean and we did not endure what we experienced at The Flamingo Hotel and Tower. The smell as I said was definitely from their “front vent”. Courtyard premier 3rd floor room was cozy and very clean, view of the courtyard swimming pool, not the beach at all, but we didn't stay in the room much. No elevator on the motel part, just stairs..the elevator is at the tower, no connection to the motel part at all, just an alley way. We enjoyed our stay very much, had extra blankets, clean towels and toilet paper brought to us the day after we checked in on our 2 night stay. Staff is very kind and accommodating!! The building is an older one so there are a few rusty blemishes along the door and it was kinda hard to open and close, but that is from the salty air, they are doing renovations but there wasmt any noise or commotion at all! A new tiki bar is in progress so I can't wait to see what excitement that will bring! The beds were very comfy, plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen appliances worked and stocked with a few utensils and pots and pans. On he beach they do offer chair rentals that are the wooden folding chairs, not the lounge chairs, we rented those and they were great...I will definitely stay there again!! Keep your prices low always!!! Perfect place on the beach at an awesome price!!

The ladies at the desk busy with people checking out and checking in. As busy as they were they were nice. I don’t think I could do what Cameka and Anakaye do with as much professionalism and care. The room is super clean and smells wonderful. The housekeeping staff take pride in their work.
