Cute adults only mid century hotel in a great location. Guests receive a welcome drink and there’s a free breakfast which is only muffins and yogurt. You check in at the sister hotel next door. Love the salt water pool with misters around the pool patio. You can also use the pool, restaurant and bar at the hotel next door

Don’t be tricked by the website! The Del Marcos Hotel is underwhelming and this reviewer does not recommend this accommodation to savvy travelers. The lobby is basic (including the stoned front desk clerk), and there’s no bathroom except in the guest rooms. A higher end room is barely adequate with holes in the wall from missing artwork, a flimsy closet and very dated bathroom with thread-bare towels. There is no restaurant or bar and the mini bar has a single bottle of water. There is no onsite staff and it is barely supported by the next door La Sirena Hotel. This means there’s no one at the hotel for questions or to help. Expect to wait 15 minutes after calling La Sirena (when they answer) to provide any service Most disappointing, t’s priced more than nicer hotels in the area. While some people may be excited about staying in a historic Cody building, expect no frills in this accommodation that definitely makes you know it was built in 1946.

Becoming outdated. Sister property around the corner for check in and anything else. No more poolside food and beverage service. No more complimentary happy hour. No more discounts for previous guest. Good location. Probably our last stay. 150-250 max depending on room size.

This was my second visit to the Del Marcos. First trip was back in 2021 and I can say that he quality of the property has gone down hill since 2021. There is wear and tear on many surfaces. Lots of paint touch up needed and many pieces of furniture need to be repaired or replaced. The pool loungers are in DESPERATE need of replacement. Some of them fell through while we were laying on them and they are very sun bleached. The bedding in our room felt old and or cheap. Pillows were the saddest pillows I've ever used. There was no working overhead light or fan in our bathroom, so they put a standing lamp in there. Just felt cheap. The included breakfast feels like they really lowered the quality as well. Still decent but a bit disappointing for the pricepoint of this hotel. The hotel itself is such an iconic space but it is being left in disrepair which is really sad. Back in 2021, it was probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, and while this time, we still had a really nice time and enjoyed the space, I felt like the price point no longer matches the quality. I do not splurge very often on pricey nice hotels like this so it was a bit disappointing. The staff were all so friendly and wonderful.

This was my first time visiting Palm Springs, and I really wanted to stay in a historic boutique hotel. After reading many property reviews, I decided to stay at the Del Marcos. Some of the positives include location, the amazing architecture and history, as well as the pool and sitting area, along with three bikes. The unit itself needs some attention, especially for what we paid. The towels need to be replaced, and our bathroom light was a plug-in lamp - and probably not real safe. Our seat wasn’t working and was supposed to be fixed but it wasn’t. The rugs are soiled, and our outdoor tub was dirty. Bedroom is very dark. Overall, I’d give it 2.5 out of 5.

Very disappointed that this hotel has gone corporate with none of the perks and nice amenities of years past. Breakfast was minimal, yogurt and muffins, no happy hour drinks or snacks, NO housekeeping, beeping alarm half the night, TV had to be turned on manually, and AC barely adequate. Management is next door at sister hotel. We are definitely not returning!

It's a diamond in the rough but the manager Alexandra is so sweet and accommodating it's definitely worth a stay and for so many reasons you'll most likely return. The pluses are the quiet and peaceful rooms and pool and that the rooms are very large. It's also directly across from so many restaurants and an easy walk to the heart of downtown palm springs. With a little paint and sparkle, some better space planning and furniture touch ups, and a better breakfast with some protein the Del Marcos caneasily be a $300 experience per night.

We've been going to Palm Springs for the past 15 years and have always stayed at the Del Marcos. In fact, our (past) love for the hotel was one of the main reasons we kept returning to Palm Springs. Over the years we've referred several people. Our recent trip was the first one since the hotel was sold to Kirkwood. We were expecting that there would be changes but were not expecting things to be as bad as they were. The room was shabby and dirty. Our suite was advertised as having a kitchen but there was no sink. Only one one of five bulbs worked in the main light fixture. Our white socks were grey on the bottom after walking around the room. Neither of the two heaters worked in our room thus it was freezing. (This was eventually fixed part-way through our stay). On one of our seven days, despite requesting housekeeping, it wasn't done so we returned to our room after a day out and about (and after hotel reception was closed and housekeeping had gone for the day) to a dirty room. This meant that we needed to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink, using hand soap, so that we had dishes for breakfast in the morning. (Keep reading to learn why we opted to buy groceries to make our own breakfast rather than partaking in the free breakfast provided). The fireplaces by the pool didn't work and we decided not to hang out there regardless because the furniture cushions were so grimy. Finally, while we paid a daily $39 "hospitality" fee for what we assumed, as returning guests, would cover a similar breakfast as before and happy hour, there was no happy hour, and breakfast was a complete joke. The first morning we arrived for breakfast at around 8:30, only an hour after it opened, and there was no cereal (see photo), no coffee, and no coffee cups. The breakfast was completely underwhelming and clearly done with minimal effort and care. We ended up going to a grocery store and purchasing our own breakfast items. Further into our stay, we wanted a cup of coffee to go with our breakfast and despite advertising that breakfast opened at 7:30 am, at 7:41 it was still not ready. We checked again at 7:45 then gave up. Happy hour was one of the biggest letdowns. We looked forward to this daily event. It created a camaraderie among guests and made staying at the Del Marcos unique. Removing it, yet keeping the hospitality fee, made us feel misled and disappointed. And for this, we paid 20% more than we have in the past since they removed the returning customer discount. We talked with several other guests during our stay. The consensus among all other guests who had been to the hotel before was that we all felt let down and that none of us would return. The changes made by the new company have zapped all of the soul and personality out of the hotel. When I expressed my feelings mid-way through our stay to the management team (via the survey I received via text), I was told that the changes were made for "business reasons". I suggested that they look at these
