The Hideaway- 21 and over

I’m glad we took our friend’s recommendation and booked at the Hideway. This is their favorite place to stay at and is also now our favorite place. Walking distance to downtown but extremely quiet. My only regret is that we should’ve booked 3 nights instead of 2. It was an old apartment complex and had a kitchenette that you could use if you wanted to. Snack basket was nice and the starter drinks in the fridge. Bed large and comfortable. Bathroom amenities were adequate and lotion smelled nice. It’s a no contact hotel which was different. If you’re self sufficient (which we are), it’s kinda nice. If you need something, they check in several times before and throughout the stay by email or txt anyway. 21+ and very clear on the rules of “This is a place for people to relax.” So no parties or rowdy crowds or loud obnoxious people by the pool area or anywhere. My kind of traveling.

Met a couple (fellow guests at the Palms at Indian Head in Borrego Springs, another mid-century winner) who strongly recommended a stay here. Luckily two nights were available in Dino's Den, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Walking distance to Palm Canyon Drive, but far enough off to feel like a neighborhood.

Simple Chic This is not a luxury hotel. It’s a cool hotel with the architectural history of mid century, modern by Herbert Burns. Very cool room to exterior layout.

Very quiet and walkable to downtown. Very cute property. Just wish the bed wasn’t so hard would benefit from a topper and wifi was spotty. We stayed in 3 different places in ps this trip and this was the best one.

Perfect getaway We loved this hotel. Hotel grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Staff is accessible and so helpful. Location is perfect.
