Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs

Design and Cleanliness: The hotel is highly praised for its modern and stylish design, cleanliness, and excellent location, offering convenient access to shopping, dining, and scenic mountain views.

Superb location (smack in the old center of Palm Springs), great pool, highly efficient and very friendly service all over, great selection of bars and restaurants. The rooms were modern, beautiful and of a good size, clean and even sported my favorite Nespresso taste. We’re on a massive East coast - West coast road trip and this was easily the best hotel we stayed at.

We stayed 4 nights at Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs, and unfortunately, the experience was well below expectations for a hotel in this category. We dealt with disruptive renovation noise directly above our room from the start. Despite repeated reassurances that the work was done, loud pounding and construction sounds continued, making it hard to relax, sleep, or focus. When we reported it, staff dismissed it as “housekeeping.” On our last night, I asked the valet to charge our electric vehicle and emphasized that we’d be traveling in the morning. The request was acknowledged, but ignored. We woke up with less than 70 miles of range, adding stress to an already disappointing departure. While the location is good and the design is stylish, the service was reactive rather than proactive, not up to the standard of a Kimpton or 5-star property. We expected thoughtful hospitality; what we got felt indifferent.
