Nice place and room. Room was large with nice touches and good A/C which is important is Palm Desert. They could not accommodate our request for 1 hour later checkout. It was so hot in room at some point plastic window blinds melted. Only one chair on patio? Bed was comfortable and large TV.

This is actually a golf resort. The rooms provide full kitchens, washing machines and dryers. The rooms are large and have balconies with views. The entire hotel is large and has 4 swimming pools. It is very suitable for taking children on vacation and staying for 4-5 days is no problem at all.

Overall the resort is lovely and many amenities including 4 pools. The resort is clean and quiet and in the best location, central to everything. We were in building 17 it’s a little dated , especially the bathroom. Also the sheets do not fit the bed, every night we wake up with the fitted sheet coming off the bed and all tangled up, it’s super frustrating. Picture included of how small the sheets are on the mattress.

The staff is very nice and the resort is beautiful. Disney is building a massive resort across the street and the sand really blows from there. Studio, corner room 1050 on the third floor was recently updated. They said it was a "larger "room, but the layout is odd to me. The full size refrigerator and bathroom door open onto the bed. There is a free washing machine/dryer in the building across the street. The sauna in the gym does not work because women put water on the "rocks" to make it a steam room which it is not! The gym is a hike up to the golf club and check in area which is again odd to me.

We have been owners for over 21 years. We found the Cuckwalla pool area depressing at times and overwhelming at other times. There is no music at the pool. Everyone said the speakers were broken and had been fo awhile. I would think that all the maintenance fees they collect every year they could easily repair the speakers. Because there was no music at the pool numerous people brought their own boom boxes out. All different types of music all over. Some appropriate for kids, others not so much. There were people eating their food along the pool while they were in the water. Food crumbs etc hitting the water. Not very sanitary and the delivery servers said nothing. The positive is how respectful and efficient the servers are at the Chukwalla bar. This group of men, ( maybe women also but only men while we’re there) kept the bar clean, very efficient in their drink service and food service. A great group. Marriott needs to have better management and maintenance in the pool area.

The resort has a lot of deferred maintenance issues. The pools are a long distance from many of the units. We stayed in the unit that was boarded on three sides by outside roads and gas stations. Very disappointing Customer service is mediocre. They over promise. Stay somewhere else.

We have been coming to PS for over 10 years after moving to Canada .We always stay at the Westin and LOVE IT THERE . THIS TIME we thought we would try a different place for a change WORST DECISION EVER. There were SO MANY KIDS in every pool and their parents drinking around other parents that were in the pools . We didn’t see any of the kids get out in hours That means wee wee in the pool , no wonder it was cloudy . There wasn’t one pool untouched by kids , our stress levels were through the roof from the minute we arrived. We rang several times before we arrived and asked for a quiet room near a quiet pool This;partly didn’t happen ( room was quiet). After 5 days someone mentioned AQuiet Pool , we went in search for it in our car because it was quite far from where our room was , it was bliss for 2 hours then hell broke lose with families coming in with their kids Again. We spoke to a few people over 50 at this poo and they said they had been coming for 20+ years and it was always kid free But this year it all changed and they said they will never come back . With 4 pools on the resort you would think they would designate 1 forAdults only ,but they said they can’t when asked . We left after 9 days more stressed than when we arrived , we were shattered from this experience.Plus our room had a cricket in it that chirped all night every night and we couldn’t find it . We will never return here , as Marriott members its very disappointing.
