Anna Maria Paradise

FIRSTLY, I EMAILED THE HOTEL TWICE APPROXIMATELY 4 WEEKS BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL WITH A COUPLE OF BASIC QUESTIONS CONCERNING OUR STAY BUT I DIDN’T RECEIVE A RESPONSE SO I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE DIRECT COMMUNICATION BEFORE TRAVELLING IS POOR ALTHOUGH I DID MAKE OUR RESERVATION THROUGH A TRAVEL AGENT RATHER THAN THE HOTEL. LOCATION : ON A BUSY ROAD AND THE NOISE IS NOTICEABLE FROM THE POOL AND ALL ROOMS ON THE FRONT AND ALSO THE BAR AREA. IT’S A 10 MINUTE FLAT WALK TO THE NEAREST BEACH WHICH IS A MIX OF SAND AND SHINGLE, A 20 MINUTE WALK TO THE CENTRE OF PEFKOHORI OR A 5 MINUTE €5 TAXI RIDE. A 30 MINUTE WALK IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION USING A RESIDENTIAL SIDE ROAD PASSING SEVERAL BEACHES WILL TAKE YOU TO HANIOTI OR ITS A €5 TAXI RIDE. WE FOUND TAXIS LATE IN THE EVENING WERE SCARCE WHEREVER YOU WERE BUT WALKING AROUND ISN’T A PROBLEM. OTHER RESORTS ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE AS ITS ONE LONG ROAD BUT WE DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO VISIT. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SUPERMARKETS ABOUT A 10-15 MINUTE WALK TOWARDS PEFKOHORI, IN MY OPINION HANIOTI IS A BETTER RESORT WITH MORE CHOICES FOR RESTAURANTS BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF OPTIONS IN BOTH TOWNS, PEFKOHORI APPEARS TO BE MORE OF A TOWN SPECIFICALLY CREATED FOR TOURISM AND IS LACKING IN TRADITIONAL GREEK CHARACTER BUT THE HOTEL IS IDEALLY SITUATED FOR WHATEVER YOU PREFER. THE CENTRE OF PEFKOHORI IS APPROXIMATELY 80% FAST FOOD OULETS WHILST THE PROMENADE IS APPROXIMATELY 70% RESTAURANTS AND BARS. WEEKENDS IN THE RESORTS ARE ALSO VERY BUSY DUE OF THE GREEK PEOPLE TRAVELLING IN FROM THESSALONIKI. HOTEL : VERY NICE AND SMART IN COMMUNAL AREAS ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO A/C, THERE ARE 3 POOLS. A €5 PER NIGHT TAX IS REQUESTED BY THE OWNER BEFORE YOU ARE SHOWN TO YOUR ROOM AND NO RECEIPT IS GIVEN. THE RECEPTION WILL BOOK ALL TAXIS FOR YOU. ROOMS : WE BOOKED 11 NIGHTS IN A SUPERIOR SEA VIEW ROOM, THESE ARE POSITONED ON THE TOP FLOOR IN THE ROOF SPACE, OUR ROOM (406) WAS QUITE SMALL AND DARK BUT IT SERVED ITS PURPOSE, THIS TYPE OF ROOM HAD A LARGE BED, FREE A/C, FREE FRIDGE, A KETTLE AND COFFEE PERCOLATOR BUT NO TEA OR COFFEE, THERE IS A SAFE FOR €2 PER NIGHT BUT THE SECURITY CODE IS FIXED AND NOT CHANGEABLE WHICH IS STRANGE. NOT ENOUGH CLOTHES HANGERS WERE PROVIDED WHICH IS A COMMON ISSUE AMONGST VIRTUALLY ALL HOLIDAY HOTELS SO I ALWAYS TAKE SOME INEXPENSIVE ONES AND LEAVE THEM BEHIND. THE BALCONY DIDN’T REALLY GET MUCH SUN HAD A TABLE AND 2 CHAIRS AND A CLOTHES DRYER WAS PROVIDED, THE BALCONY OVERLOOKED THE TILED ROOF OF THE RESTAURANT AND BAR ASWELL AS ALL OF THE POOLS AND THE BUSY NOISY ROAD WITH THE SEA ABOUT 100 METERS IN THE DISTANCE. THE ROOM IS CLEANED EVERY DAY. BATHROOM : IT WAS OK, BUT IS PROBABLY DUE A MINOR REFURBISHMENT IN THE CLOSED WINTER PERIOD, THE SHOWER DEFINITELY NEEDS REPLACING BECAUSE RUSTY LOOSE FITTING COMPONENTS AREN’T A GOOD LUCK IN ANY BATHROOM ESPECIALLY A SUPERIOR ONE. THE WATER FLOW AND TEMPERATURE WAS INCONSISTENT THROUGHOUT OUR STAY AND WAS OFTEN A DRIBBLE AT TIMES IN THE EARLY EVENING. THE BATHROOM CONDIMENTS

We chose the Anna Maria Paradise Hotel, on the basis of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were definitely not disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the time we vacated the hotel, we were made to feel at home. Thomas the owner was the perfect gentleman , he was so knowledgeable in sharing information , places to see & car hire . He was ably assisted by Alexandra, who like all the staff were courteous & polite Lefteris his son who managed the bar , always had a story to tell, together with introducing us to the drink ROOTS. Maria, Thomas's lovely wife was just like her husband Thomas ,providing excellent customer service. All staff & family working at the hotel provided high levels of customer service throughout our stay, We had 10 excellent and happy days at the hotel, the accommodation, food and the quality of service were excellent, we had no complaints.. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel with excellent all-round facilities, I would strongly recommend the Anna Mara Paradise Hotel. To conclude we look forward to returning to the hotel in the near future.

our third visit to this wonderful hotel.since our last visit in 2023 they have added two new swimming pools with lots of sunbeds so not usually an issue to get one if you wish to lounge by one of them .thomas and marie are despite what you may sometimes read very friendly hosts and the staff are great .the prices for food and drink at the hotel are reasonable and the bar snacks are excellent.rooms are cleaned daily and we had a luvly sea view .the rooms are spacious clean and modern.all in all an excellent holiday and have already booked to go back next year .10 mins walk to the beach and around 15 minutes walk to supermarkets bars and restaurants in the village .wouldnt stay anywhere else in pefkohori .cannot recommend highly enough.

We have recently returned from our 4th stay at Anna Maria. We have holidayed in Pefkohori for 25 years but Anna Maria feels like our second home we feel so comfortable here. We are always greeted with huge smiles and hugs. The hotel and gardens are beautifuly maintained and spotlessly clean and an absolute credit to the family and staff. We were bed and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the food. There is a vast variety to suit everybody. The bar snacks are also good value and food is lovely. A lot of work has been carried out to the pool area over the winter and it's absolutely beautiful. The family are always happy to give advice if needed and nothing is too much trouble. Whether it be booking a taxi or giving recommendations or advise they are always happy to help. My husband says you can go wherever u want to as long as we also go to Anna Maria ❤️ which says a lot.

Both my wife and myself had the most beautiful holiday in halkidiki , staying at the Anna Marie paradise hotel was definitely our best choice, all staff are so friendly and attentive and always have a smile on there faces , the hotel and apartments are all lovely, the owner of the hotel went above and beyond for us , the main shopping centre is a 20 minute walk and the beach is around 10 minute walk , when visiting halkidiki the sunset cruise is a must , especially if your looking for a romantic evening, absolutely stunning , thank you to Thomas and your amazing staff for a beautiful experience. We will definitely be coming back xx

This is our 4th stay at the Anna Maria Paradise and it won’t be our last. Thomas and Maria have continued to improve the facilities here at their family run hotel with the addition of 2 further swimming pools (one heated) and increased sun decks with ample modern loungers. The hotel is fully booked this week and even still there is plenty of seating available around the pool/bar areas. The standard of accommodation remains high and the food and drinks available are always of a good standard and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.
