The environment is an unbeatable sea view, and the facilities are outdated! We went to Yala Wildlife Park and booked a car through the front desk, but they sold us another car. I suggest you don't book a car through the hotel. We saw about 10 kinds of animals in the zoo. It's not cost-effective. Don't go if you can. The round trip taxi cost 1000 R M B, and the trip to the zoo cost more than 3000. It's not cost-effective!

Right next to Yala Safari park and the Beach. Lovely views and pool. Rooms were lovely the bed and furniture were comfortable. Staff were very nice and accommodating and ensured the best possible stay going above and beyond, speaking fluently in English and Sinhala. If you’re lucky elephants sometimes wander near the hotel too. 10/10

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is not a four star hotel. However they charge that way. Our room was filthy when we checked in. It did not looked like it had been cleaned in over a month. No hot water in main shower head. Electricity went out in middle of
the night. Blinds broke and fell from wall leaving dust and dead bugs everywhere. The pictures told a story of a beautiful resort. It is no longer that. I have never written a bad review before. When we complained to the GM on departure (after telling staff of issues throughout stay) he was rude and told us we should have complained earlier. The Sri Lankan people are beautiful, this man was not. There is an advertised spa service that does not exist. The staff also did not honor the ******* Gold Status deal we signed up for. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Stayed here 2 nights. Loved the tranquillity of this place. Basically had it to our selves. Accommodation was clean and good. Right on the beach. Food nice amd more than ample . We got to release a 1 day old Turtle back into the water. Saw where it hatched. Saw another Tortoise. Had an Elephant run through the property. Not lacking in wild life. Staff were all lovely and accommodating.

Best Beachfront Hotel with a View! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Laya Safari Hotel offers some of the best ocean views in Sri Lanka! The sunset over the beach was a highlight of our trip. The hotel is perfectly located, offering easy access to Yala National Park. The Sea View Restaurant served the most delicious seafood we’ve ever had. The service was top-notch, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Thank you, Kushan Senevirathna, for making our stay so enjoyable!

Worst hotel I have stayed in my life. The shower was barely working, the place was dirty and smelled bad. If it wasn’t for the fact that my boyfriend and I arrived super late, we would have never stayed even one night there! I don’t recommend at all
