V Hotel in Paje

I made the mistake of booking this hotel, and immediately after realizing it, I contacted them to request a cancellation and refund. I explained that I was staying somewhere else and would not be able to stay at their property. Instead of offering any help or understanding, they completely ignored me for hours and then flat out refused my cancellation request. The level of unprofessionalism is appalling. It’s 2025 not the 1500s no one should be forced to stay somewhere they don’t want to especially when they’ve clearly communicated the situation. They had no regard for my request and were completely unreasonable in their response. I was simply trying to fix an honest mistake and instead, I was met with dismissiveness and refusal. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with such a lack of customer service. No empathy, no willingness to assist just pure disregard for a customer’s situation. Do yourself a favor and look for a hotel that actually values its guests. This place is a complete joke and I don’t recommend anyone staying here. On top of that, I’ve passed by the place a few times and I’ve noticed that the hotel has no gate or security, which is unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not just a bad look it could actually put your belongings at risk. The wild monkeys that roam the area are very aggressive and will steal your things if you’re not careful. I’ve had personal experience with them, having been bitten before. It’s clear the place isn’t properly secured and you might end up losing your stuff to those animals if you stay here.

I experienced horrible customer services I had originally booked a week for me and my friends but later on had the change my plans and so I asked for a refund as we could no longer attend and I did not receive my refund o have messaged called and emailed but I have completed been ignored and even left on read. Unacceptable guys

I hope this review does not get deleted by the owners like on google maps. Hotel or motel? Recently constructed or still a construction site? It definitely lacks of love. Negatives: The rooms have bad lighting, sewage smell in toilets, have no mini bar (so you only buy from hotel at over priced rates), full of cockroaches and mosquitoes, only 2 clothe hangers per room, limited towels available, only 2 small bottle of water upon arrival instead of every day, repetitive breakfast, lots of flies and cat poo everywhere, only yuck instant coffee for breakfast. Positives: Lovely Masai staff and that is about it. To top it all off the owners chased me around the entire village asking me to leave them my passport as a guarantee for an outstanding bill of 20 dollar for a overpriced barbecue plate they seem to want to call food. Unbelievable!! I highly advise people to skip this hotel if they want a pleasant experience in Paje! Greetings from Ibiza ;)

A new modern hotel located by the main road and about 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. Usually hotels by the beach for the price paid are small and compact. however this was not the case with V Hotel. It is very spacious and clean. There is also a nice open cupboard to unpack your clothes. The toilet is spacious and Very clean. the rooms are designed in a minimal and modern style. They also own a liquor shop which we loved. they have very friendly staff The owners of the hotel are a couple, very hospitable, helpful and made our stay pleasant. Issues - no breakfast yet, not by the beach, wifi problems, insects in the room, hot water finishes soon (thats the case with most of zanzibars hotels) Overall - definitely recommended for the price paid, good rooms, good people and a quite time.
