Stayed at Mill and Brae for two nights in April 25, and we liked it that much, we have booked again for November. We stayed as we were visiting family and attending my granddaughters christening. Hotel was in a perfect location for us as it was close to both my daughter’s house and the church. We arrived Saturday afternoon, quickly checked in and shown to our room by Jamie, who was super helpful and friendly for our whole stay. The room was really really clean, with tea / coffee making facilities provided, and the bed was extremely comfortable. As we stayed two nights, the room was also cleaned on the second day and bed made etc. We ate in the bar on the Saturday night and couldn't fault any of the food. I didn't have breakfast either of the days, as I don't normally eat it, but what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The party for the christening was also held here, and the buffet provided was excellent. My only fault if I was to pick one, the bar closed very very early on the Sunday evening, which we weren't aware of and food stopped being served quite early on as well. We were not ready to just go and sit in our room at the early hour of 8.30pm. As we had a few drinks at the christening party, we were unable to drive anywhere else for food, so had to get a takeaway from across the road, which wasn't ideal. Also, the pot holes in the car park are pretty bad, and you could easily damage your car if you didn't know they were there! But on the whole, we had an excellent stay, and this will probably now become our go to base when we travel up from North Wales to visit my family. See you all in November!! And thanks for an overall great stay
