Absolutely beautiful Inn. It is very clean and the rooms are so comfortable and inviting. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Many lovely restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Peacock room on the 3rd floor. The room was quiet and comfortable. We are seniors and found the bathroom to be challenging: a tub that required a 3 ft step over, grab bar that was hidden behind the shower curtain, drain in the middle of the tub to navigate the shower matte around, and no shelf to places items. The warm breakfast was removed at 9:00; fresh fruit was only available one morning. The staff were friendly and the historical furnishings interesting.

Our one stay at Steele Mansion was amazing. Room was perfect and the grounds are lovely. Staff is warm and helpful. After dinner we walked the grounds of the Lake Erie College. Breakfast was a nice extra and everything was quite yummy. Thanks for a great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, restored mansion. The decor was amazing! The history of this place was extremely unique. Our room was comfortable and spotless. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This surely beats any hotel! We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We love it! The character of the place is fantastic! The rooms are so cool, with so many wonderful little things to make your stay just perfect. The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. But the best part is the amazing customer service. They take such amazing care of you! You can tell that they care, and they work with you and put their heart into making your stay wonderful. We have stayed twice and plan on bringing more friends to stay again. You will be happy you stayed!

I’m a frequent traveler, and I love this place! It’s a rebuilt historic mansion—rebuilt with a lot of thought and style. The result is a truly unique boutique hotel with all the modern conveniences that you want and all the charm of an old mansion. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This place is a find, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Beautiful, clean facility. Beautifully appointed rooms amazing history. Our initial host, Amy, was outstanding. She was friendly personable and upgraded us to a better room that accommodated two people. Any suggestions for improvement? Perhaps? Better breakfast options, free, happy hour to guests and more personable owners welcoming guests. I would go back.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Steele Mansion for a family funeral and are so thankful that we chose this lovely bed and breakfast over a generic hotel room in nearby Mentor. We stayed in Room 305 (the Canopy Room), which was only one of two available when we booked. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and well appointed. The king bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The bathroom was huge because it is a handicapped accessible room and had a small mini fridge in the linen closet. The lighting was good, chairs were comfortable for reading, and the closet and dresser gave us ample space. We liked that the breakfast was included and that there was a bar where we could get a beer or glass of wine in the evening. The home is immaculately clean and the vintage furnishings throughout are lovely. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Steele Mansion is a beautifully restored property and a tremendous value. We would stay here again when we are in the area and can recommend it without qualification.

Absolutely love The Steele Mansion. Stayed there to drop our son off at Lake Erie College. It is an old mansion that has quite a history to it from being bought on a whim and refurbished instead of being torn down because demolition would have been too expensive. It has been beautifully renovated. Each room is different and filled with old photos and other items, but also have all the modern amenities - especially the bathrooms. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is also delicious. Looking forward to staying there again when we go to visit.
